Here’s the story, I was at the front door of the SSA office reading a poster that mentioned they only accept appointments. While dialing the number to ask more, a security officer opened the door and told me I should never stand that close to the door and asked me to come inside. I explained that I didn’t have an appointment, but they said I didn’t need one, which confused me, and I did expressed my confusion but without further explanation, they just proceed and said this is govermnet property and asked my intention. Upon me answering they wanted to search my bag. I know I probably shouldn’t but I complied to avoid trouble.
I should have not updated my SSN. I need my card for the new job! I don’t have all the time in the world waiting!
