Mayberry Gardens is a special assisted living and memory care residence providing family-style living.
My husband, Jerry, has been a resident at Mayberry Gardens in Denton for about a year. The facility has been such a blessing to our family. Nichole, one of the directors, has recommended doctors, hair stylists, transports, and other important necessities. She always treats Jerry with kindness and respect and immediately responds if I have questions.
Jerry requires help with most tasks including grooming. The staff has been very helpful to him with his daily routines. He adores Anna, Ivana, Alejandra, Jasmine, Delphi and Lucia.
Jerry also appreciates the activities planned by Charlotte, Renee and Roxanne. He finds the speakers, musicians and game days very engaging.
We have had a lovely experience in this difficult time.

My father stayed there and while I is was there on a Sunday afternoon the only person assisting the residents was a non English speaking assistant! I asked to have someone assist my father and she called another bilingual person at another facility that came over to help.
This bilingual helper changed my fathers clothes like he was less than a human. She did this while I was there! I had to shout at her to be more gentle! She was absolutely terrible!
Not sure if they have changed their policy with their weekend help!

Mayberry Gardens in Grand Prairie provided the care we expected and hoped for. It was a good place, with caring personnel who treated mom like a friend. She had a safe place with good caregivers to manage her last few years of life. I especially appreciate how they work with the family to create a good environment and work to resolve issues when they know things have not worked perfectly. We are so very appreciative of Mayberry Gardens Grand Prairie for being our caregiving partner with mom – as no family should have to do this alone.
Mayberry Gardens is a beautiful place. The layout is so different than other AL. 15 or less residents to a house. They have a central building that not only serves as offices/activity building, but allows families to celebrate their resident loved ones on special occasions. Generally, the staff and their teams are A+ to work with. The owners, Wes and Adrian are so personable. I’ve only dealt with each once or twice, but the approach was very welcoming. Kim, the manager, is great and ensures matters are addressed promptly. She’s quick to respond to concerns. Devin, the onsite “boss” (not sure of her title) is the bomb. She manages the day to day operation of caregivers for all of the Houses and holds her teams accountable. I can’t say enough about her. My parent resided in House 4. Takedra is the House manager. I applaud her even more. She is on it. She and her team not only care for the residents but build a special bond with them and their families. She pays special attention to detail and will quickly reach out to you when needed. You can reach her or her team at any time. They have a direct House phone which is unique from other ALs. I know this comment is lengthy but I truly can’t say enough. I will say that every AL will have its flaws, but Mayberry-GP have fewer flaws. They are extremely clean!!!! My parent is no longer there, but if the opportunity presented itself, I would put her there again. The one encouragement I give to Mayberry is to have more physical activity for the residents to enjoy within their own building if possible but I still rate them a 5 plus, plus.
I had the opportunity to have my 98-yr old father live at the Mayberry Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Grand Prairie TX. The staff and level of care were exceptional. The facility is well-maintained and each resident’s care is valued. The staff went above and beyond to provide consistent specialized care to meet my father’s needs. With placing a loved one in any facility; an involved advocate has to take an active participatory role. My communication and relationship with the staff and management made my father’s care a positive experience. I would highly recommend this assisted living facility for elderly family members that can no longer live independently!!!
