Proverbial Care

I would actually give this place a zero if possible. As someone who came to see their loved one every Tuesday around 4pm, from May 2024 till their passing in November2024, Proverbial care behind closed doors is not as it seems. They have a house manager that is Loud, Rude, and unfriendly. I finally got to where I brought my own straws, napkins, and drinks for my loved one so that I wouldn’t have to ask the house manager for anything. I was there last September with another friend and the house manager kept coming to our table interrupting our visit with our loved one and made it so uncomfortable that my friend decided she had to leave. The house manager asked me if I wanted to talk to the owner, and I said Yes. She motioned me to the counter where she had her phone in her hand and dialed, her boss, but the house manager would never let me say anything other than my name, I don’t believe she ever intended for me to speak to her boss, and her boss never followed up concerning the issue that we were having. I had to actually stand out in the Proverbial care parking lot that day and call the state of Texas and complain about the house manager. The owner of Proverbial care is aware of the house manager’s behavior but does not seem concerned in any way us not getting to finish our visit with our terminally ill loved one. The last Tuesday, November 5, 2025, that I drove into Proverbial care’s parking lot, I got a call from my loved one’s spouse saying that they had died. I would never have to go there again. The name Proverbial care had become a curse word to me. Please look up real reviews when checking out this facility.
I was told a prerequisite for being hired here is to place a good review for proverbial care.

This facility was investigated by health and human services because they were strapping my mother down to a chair while they were understaffed and they continue to delete my reviews. I also have videos of the state departments interviews with the owner and the facilty manager

Loving and family atmosphere. They really care about the residents as family . My mom has been thriving with the care since she has been there in the last 3 months. I frequently visit and every time I come it is an environment where it fees like home . Very thankful that my mom is where she can be treated and taken care of like family

Great loving environment, very clean facility, very safe with top of the line surveillance. Super friendly staff that care. When i get old this is where I want my kids to take me.
