Trinity Care Center provides short-term rehabilitation for patients recovering after hospitalization, as well as long-term care for those requiring additional support. Our team collaborates with residents, families, and care teams on individualized plans to restore the highest functional level possible.
The compassionate and professional care that has been a hallmark of Trinity Care Center was recognized by being named one of America’s Best Nursing Homes by Newsweek®, the only one in the greater Austin region.
My dad has stayed at Trinity for once for respite and a second time for in-patient physical therapy/rehab. We strongly considered other options that specialize in physical therapy. However, some of those options felt more like a hospital setting and my dad felt so much at home when he stayed for respite that he wanted to go back. Kudos to Trinity Staff for their unwavering warmth and empathy towards the residents.
Both my mother and father are in this facility NOT by my choice. My mother’s paralyzed from the neck down and requires being turned every 2 hours per doctors orders. In order to prevent bed sores. She is hardly ever being turned. Both mother and father almost never receive their proper am and pm medication at the right times either get am medication for PM and or only getting PM medication. The food is horrible I’ve seen a chilly dog being served quite often and in the evenings when can cause digestive issues to patients. Also chicken nuggets. Horrible it’s a skill nursing facility not a daycare. Some of the nursing staff has attitudes and do not properly clean my mother up which is not sanitary. Something needs to change our love ones deserve the love and respect more then this to live out their final days with us.
Update 1-21-25: I’m sad to say my mom passed on 1-11 while at TCC. I have to say one more time how amazing her staff and care were. Nurses Nel, Leo and Lisa were God-sends and Amber took good care of her wounds. I could always, always count on these folks to look after her. They are kind, caring, knowledgable, fun and truly made a place in their hearts for my mom. She had several outstanding aides too, Margaret being one of them, who also formed a close relationship with Mom. Mom loved them all and had nicknames and banter for each! Mom also had great care under Dr Javadi and Emily Wallce NP of Austin Geriatric Speicalists. I will always be grateful for everyone’s love and care and so grateful we chose TCC. They may be understaffed – as MOST ALL nursing homes are these days – but even still I knew my mom was in good hands. Thank you all!
My mom is now 2+ weeks in her new home at Trinity Care Center and I’m so grateful to have found this little gem of a place. Don’t let its age fool you! This is a community of the most kind and caring staff, and a wonderful medical group, Austin Geriatric Specialists. Everyone has made effort to help my mom settle in -all of her nursing staff, activities, the social worker, Dr. Javadi and her NP Emily, the blessed maintenance department who got her PBS working (the only channel she watches and the only one not working!) – all have been angels. They understand dementia and know how to calm me too – and I need that more than my mom does much of the time! Giving your parent to someone else to care for is right up there with giving your child to daycare – it’s so hard. But they have been wonderful every step of the way and I know she’s in good hands. Thank you, Trinity! Ashley
Awesome staff and support !
