Horrible experience. My loved one was on hospice there with Annointed Hospice. They were difficult to reach. The personnel from the Vista Ridge facility leave a lot to be desired. One nurse pulled up my loved one by his shoulder and hit his head on the wall. The other nurse said it was her elbow hitting the wall like if I did not see what happened. My loved one died the following day. Another incident was that my loved one was vomiting and the nurse thought it was secretions. I could not believe it. Another incident was that the nurses and nurses aids did not bother to rotate him every two hours like they said they would. He ended up with bed sores on his heels, back, and buttocks. Another incident was that they did not do oral care on him until I asked. In the meantime he tongue was stuck to the ceiling of his mouth due to dried up secretions. His lips were stuck to his teeth in more than one occasion. Finally, when I was asking the nurses aid what happened before he died they ignored me and said they had to see other patients. When I pressed them to tell because his body was going to be picked by the funeral home they simply said I needed to ask somebody else that was not there. The experience there was horrendous. I reported the incidents three times to the head nurse and of course she protected her personnel. I do not recommend this place to anyone on hospice because they will not be treated well.
My dad stayed at this place recently. The Nurses, CNA’s, Therapists, dietitians and the admin staff are great. Place is clean and staff is easily reachable and keeps you well informed.
I appreciate the time and effort they took to ensure my Moms care was handled with grace and proficiency. I had a few issues that were resolved in a timely manner and her main Nurse Victor was truly a gem! His professionalism and knowledge is top tier! Rachel is also an asset to the team as she guided me through admissions. My hats off to everyone that works in all care facilities but especially this one:) I gave it 4 stars because the facility and rooms could use an update…
Vista Ridge’s care for my mother was beyond 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. All the staff were wonderful but Irene was exceptional, caring, competent compassionate, wonderful. While I hope my Mom doesn’t need their services again, I would not hesitate to admit a loved one to their care.
