We as a family stand behind our decision to have our mom as a resident at Avalon Memory Care. Kareshia is an exceptional Executive Director (title might have changed since her well deserved promotion). She jumps to the aide of families whenever a concern arises. I have the utmost confidence in this establishment and the staff working for Avalon.

I am writing on behalf of my family to express our deepest gratitude for the extraordinary care our beloved mother receives at your facility. She has been battling Alzheimer’s disease, and witnessing her journey has been both challenging and deeply emotional for all of us.

However, thanks to the unwavering dedication and compassion of your staff, our worries have been significantly alleviated. From the moment she became a resident at your facility, it was evident that she would be in good hands. Your team’s professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern for her well-being have touched our hearts in ways we cannot fully express.

We are continually amazed by the level of support she receives each day. Whether it’s the stimulating activities or the tender care provided during moments of confusion, your staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure her comfort and happiness.

Moreover, the warmth and empathy extended to our family have not gone unnoticed. The open lines of communication and genuine care for our emotional well-being have made this challenging journey more manageable. Knowing that we can rely on your team to provide emotional support, has been a tremendous source of comfort for us.

It brings us great joy to see the positive impact your facility has had on our mother’s quality of life. Despite the challenges posed by her condition, she continues to thrive under your care, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

My husband received the best care at Avalon Memory Care in Allen. From the minute his sister and I walked in the door to visit, we were greeted by Sue Boyd and Karescia Brown. After many questions and answers, our family felt this was the best placement for him. We were so afraid about the decision process but these two ladies made us feel confident we had made the right decision. After a week of adjusts on everyones part, my husband seemed happy to be there. The staff was so caring, compassionate, and treated him with respect!!!! They learned his likes and dislikes and helped him in every way. I visited every other day when I could and he never complained. He even called them “his family” at one point. For me, his wife, they educated me, counseled me on him, what to expect, how to talk to him, and how to love him the way he was!!!! I recommend this place so highly. God blessed this staff with special gifts in treating patients of this type. I feel honored and blessed that my husband was there.

Mom spent the final 8 months of her life in Avalon Memory Care in Allen. The staff was great. There was rarely a day that my brother or I did not come by and they were always friendly to us and did their best to make Mom comfortable and happy. We really appreciated them for everything they did.
