There is one CNA for 20+ rooms, and with two patients per room, there is no time for quality patient care given the staff breaks and mealtime figured into each shift. The very basics are taken care of, meals, medicine, very little else. The facility smells and does not appear clean. The physical therapists are wonderful. They are some of the only positive contacts the patients have.
Our family placed my sister with Victoria Gardens following her surgery, to receive physical therapy and occupational therapy due to some complications and other health issues. Carmen at Victoria Gardens was incredible. From the beginning, Carmen and the staff were kind, attentive, and fully engaged with my sister’s needs, care, and recovery. Sadly, my sister passed away from complications that could not be mitigated, and she is very missed by our family However, I take enormous comfort and will be eternally grateful to Carmen and the staff of Victoria Gardens for the care and attention they provided my sister. Thank you to all of you at Victoria Gardens for caring for my sister with kindness and respect. Our family is very grateful to for Carmen’s calming guidance and knowledge and for all of the staff’s compassion and competence in the way they cared for my sister.

I wouldn’t have been able to comfortably admit my family here without the help of Carmen. She truly made me feel confident and comfortable through every step of the process and was always open to any questions I had. She empathized with everything my family was going through, was always there to listen to our concerns. She went above and beyond for our needs and questions. Thank you to the entire staff and the director.
My mother has been a long term resident at VG for several years. The quality of care has gone down. There are some very caring workers but the management is badly lacking. Phones aren’t answered, medication not given as directed by doctors, when my mother fell recently she waited over half an hour to be attended by an aide. We had to advocate for X-rays. We have had to ask for testing for URIs and flu and covid. Many times she has been left in soiled clothing and bedding. When we reach out about concerns we have been snapped at, ignored, and most recently threatened. The staff is constantly changing and that means inconsistent care and communication. Billing is confusing and at times inaccurate. We have moved our mother for her safety and our peace of mind. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
Staff is unhelpful. I asked for assistance with my grandmother and they don’t move with urgency. I always pass by and see the staff in their phones and not addressing important issues.
