The activities department here is SPECTACULAR!! Kilee, the activity director, does a Fantastic job planning things for the residents. They are always doing fun things. Throwing parties for residents, taking them out places, doing crafts, & playing games.
Working at Brazos in social services is like being part of a big, caring family! The team is supportive, the residents are wonderful, and every day brings a new adventure. Resident loves my pet and always gives them great love. It’s busy but rewarding, and I love making a difference in people’s lives.
Staff is very disrespectful. Place is very dirty. They don’t take good care of the elderly there. It always smells when I go inside. Workers be having family members inside while they work. The people working there is just there for a paycheck. They don’t care about anything that happens inside the place. Employees quit from being bullied by other staff members. They have some racist staff there that gang up on minorities working there. An ambulance is there everyday because an elderly patient hurt themselves. It’s really like no one cares what’s going on inside the facility.
This facility is very caring for their residents, the administrator and all the managers are always walking around and interacting with the residents. A few weeks ago they had a meeting with the residents to keep them updated on changes and to address any concerns. My mother is also visited by her Nexion Neighbor Carmen who comes in to check on her periodically throughout the day. Carmen is also the social worker and does an amazing job. I was hesitant about this facility at first because it is an older building but this is the best place for my mom and I would highly recommend.
