Do not choose this facility if you do not have to.
The therapy teams are great. There is a real distinction in the day nursing staff during weekdays, vs the night nursing staff during weekdays, and the weekends.
If a problem arises, they are more likely to take a defense stance and talk down to you vs taking responsibility in a satisfactory customer service friendly manner.
Lastly, for the size of the overall team and the various departments needed to make the facility flow in its entirety, their communication practices are extremely poor. This can roll over unto a personal problem with your loved one’s care, which happened with mine on 2 separate occasions.
Outside of these issues with both admin and the nursing staff, the therapy teams ARE dedicated, well trained and authentically caring. One of the most precious things I got to observe was a therapist taking the time to gently and attentively give a patient a manicure. That level of compassion needs to be a mainstay throughout the entire team in my opinion. For the patients and their families.
I understand that in your industry, you’re choosing to work with families during one of the most vulnerable stages of their lives due to an ill and or dying loved one. It’s impossible to guarantee perfection for any one family’s experience. But dismissing problems that should have been handled better on your end, to the extent of speaking to us with so much arrogance, disregard, and disrespect just throws salt in the wounds of those depending on your care.

I would give a 10 if I could. My mom has Alzheimer’s and needed a higher level of care than I could provide. From the first initial call to Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation through the present has been met with such love, care, patience, and understanding during this difficult time. My mom was welcomed with open arms which made her feel more at ease and I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for that. Thank you for loving her ❤️
Rowlett Health and Rehabilitation is a beautiful facility with superb care. The front office staff is quick to handle concerns, the director of nursing and administrator are awesome. I highly recommend Rowlett Health and Rehab!
