Please take the 1 star reviews seriously. The leasing/management staff at this community lack compassion, human decency, respect, and empathy for seniors. Leander Station Senior Village is failing its residents in every possible way. They verbally attack residents, disregard their concerns, and seem to only be in it for the paycheck rather than the well-being of the vulnerable senior community they are supposed to serve. The office staff have formed a tight-knit alliance to shield one another from accountability. Instead of addressing complaints or holding each other to professional standards, they deflect blame onto residents. It’s even been said that residents verbally abuse them—but what do you expect when residents are constantly disrespected, dismissed, and verbally attacked by staff? I’d fight back too if I were treated that way by people who are supposed to care about my safety and quality of life. To make matters worse, the roach infestation is out of control. Roaches crawl through the hallways and on resident doors, likely due to the filthy trash chutes that remain open and unaddressed. These conditions are unacceptable and a clear health hazard. A better strategy for waste disposal needs to be implemented immediately to protect the residents. Why hire people who only care about collecting a paycheck instead of genuinely caring for this vulnerable population? The lack of compassion and professionalism here is beyond disgraceful. This community and its residents deserve better—much better. Please find a different community for your loved ones.
My family couldn’t get ahold of my grandmother, and we confirmed that there was an emergency when my brother heard my grandmother screaming in pain outside of her door. When he ran to the front office to ask them to help him open the door, they were unhelpful and acted as if they didn’t care at all. They refused to help us open the door, so we were left with no choice but to break the door down. Come to find out, our grandmother was lying on the floor for hours after a fall. Shame on the management for showing blatant disregard when one of their residents were experiencing an emergency. They stated they were unable to do well fare checks, but all they needed to do was go to the front door, and they would have heard my grandmother screaming for help. They could’ve called 9-11 and saved my grandmother hours of pain and torture. This same apartment will send emergency maintenance if you’re experiencing flooding, but somehow this wasn’t a situation they could even show the slightest bit of empathy. Think twice before you allow a loved one to live here.
Please reconsider sending your grandparents or loved ones to live here. In case of an emergency, they do not perform wellness checks. When I called the front desk, they told me they prioritize the safety of their staff over the residents. They are unwilling to even knock on a door to ensure the residents are okay. This is completely unacceptable. Shame on you for not having even the slighest bit of empathy.
