  1. My mother has broke her hip and had to stay here recently the staff was great but a young lady stood out by the name of tahita forest CNA. She was so attentive and kind. You rock. Thank you for your service.

  2. My mom recently needed to stay at Villa Valencia following a shoulder surgery which required a 6 week IV antibiotic course. My sister and I felt the facility was clean and the employees were all very kind and helpful. The food was below average (unappetizing) and arrived cold most of the time. The TVs in this place are a joke. If the resident has to share a room, which my mom did, then each person has no control over their own tv. When one person uses their remote, it makes both TVs respond. They are mounted on the same wall with a thin curtain between them. While visiting my mom I would witness first hand that when her roomie turned on the tv and flipped channels, it was controlling my mom’s tv! I would turn off my mom’s tv and then it would turn right back on. When I addressed this to the staff, their response was, “yes, full transparency, this is a problem in our place. You have to aim the remote down by your side…” They are understaffed at night. My mom was put in diapers and was told to wet herself during the night because they can’t help residents to the bathroom. She also had to wait over the weekend after her arrival on a Friday night to get on all her meds, including the pain meds post surgery, because their pharmacy doesn’t open on the weekends. My biggest reason for giving this place only 2 stars is coming now. Watch out for your loved ones very carefully! There are many staff members and change-overs occurring day to day. They do their job efficiently, but apparently don’t really know the patients. Because my sister and I both live over an hour away and work full time, we were only able to visit on weekends. When I went to visit my mom at the end of week 3, I found her state of mind to have changed drastically. She was very confused and delusional. Her roommate, thank God for her, beckoned me to come to her side and told me that something was very wrong with my mom over the past 3 days and that she had been begging the nurses to call me or my sister for 3 days, which they ignored. She had seen a rapid and alarming decline in my mother’s state of mind. When I got home I discussed this with my siblings. The next morning, I called to talk to the nurse in charge that day who told me that my mom was just fine, knew where she was, and had good vitals. When I told her, no my Mom is not OK, she just blew me off and repeated herself. I called my aunt in San Francisco (a retired nurse), my mom’s sister, and then she called the home and insisted on talking to a nurse supervisor. She demanded that they call 911 immediately. When my mom was taken to the ER, they found that she was very sick (in renal failure), had pneumonia, and that her urine had backed up into her kidneys because her bladder had been retaining it. All of this resulted in her delusional state. Apparently, the IV antibiotics were too much for her kidneys (which were healthy prior to her surgery). The doctor in charge should have been monitoring her blood levels as this antibiotic is known to be hard on the kidneys, especially in the elderly. She was 81. My mom was in the ICU for 72 hours and she continued to decline until she passed away 2 days ago. I feel that if the facility had paid attention to the change in my mom and listened to the roommate who had been with her 24 hours a day for 3 weeks, that things may have not gotten so bad and that my mom could have maybe been saved. If you take a loved one here, please watch over them carefully! Don’t trust the nurses to give you accurate information.

  3. All of the staff are kind, considerate, caring, and supportive. I highly recommend this place. Spencer, who is the main manager, is likewise friendly and deals with an issue immediately. Tasty food and clean environment.

  4. I spent 5 weeks in this facility and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff.
Spencer was always there with his daily personal greetings with a smile to start the day.
My PT , OT therapists were wonderful and the nursing , support staff were great

  5. My mom has stayed here for few weeks. All the staffs are very professional and kind. They overcome language barriers and find the ways to communicate with my mom with respect and warmth. The therapists have done such a great job to help my mom recover. Thank you!
