I try to call my grandma everyday so she doesn’t feel alone. I live all the way in Wyoming. Each day I have problems with people even answering the phone. Then when they do I still get no where most times. I’m told I’ll be transferred but the phone goes silent and I get nothing. Mabye these people don’t have loved ones in long term care facilities that is why they don’t care to help. I call her because there are also times she puts he call light on and an hour later it hasn’t been answered. If they don’t want to be bothered to give a resident the phone then mabye phones should be put in each room so then loved ones would be able to get ahold of the people in the room.
This makes me feel like the reviews I read before writing this are true about this place. I working in a long term facility for over 6 years and phone calls and contact with the outside world mines so much to people who have most times lost there whole life they had before. My Grandma and all the other residents and patients deserve so much better.
I’m going to be going up the chain of command for California because this is just unexceptable. The workers act like your cutting the arm off when they are asked to bring a phone to someone.
The receptionist up front is super rude. Did not even try to assist me when i called and just hung up the phone on me.
But the facility its self is awesome.
All I can say about this place is were lucky to have gotten my mom out of there alive . The discharge ladies were the worst people I’ve ever had to deal with in my life !!! They gave us the run around for literally three months . They were not at all helpful and spent more time trying to find ways to keep my mom there than helping with discharge . I don’t even know where to start to try and explain the kinds of things they did to stall releasing her . I hope to God your loved one never ends up there and good luck getting them out alive if they do .
