  1. Five years ago my siblings and I had a difficult decision to make whether to let my mom continue to live in her 2 story home, or find her senior care in a home setting, none of the big faceless nursing facilities would do. After interviewing a few senior care homes we settled on Jeff Yang with Hampton Guest House and it was the best decision we could have made other than keeping mom at home with round the clock care.
Because they have six rooms with seniors, they are really able to focus on each person and see to their needs. The feeling of Hampton House is very homey, it does not feel like a nursing home at all, nor did I ever detect bad smells associated with big nursing homes. We were also able to fix my mom‘s room however we wanted, even painted it a bright color with pictures of her family all around her. For birthdays and special days they always celebrated and made special meals for the holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. They had the residents help decorate the Christmas tree and they played low-impact games like bingo or “toss the balloon”.
The main caregivers for my mom were Neda, Alma, and Jian though all helped out when needed. My mom recently passed away and I can honestly say she had the best care possible at Hampton House and I will miss seeing all the people there because they made us feel like part of the family.

  2. My mother was a resident of Hampton House for 5 years, including during the Covid Pandemic. Jeff Yang and his staff kept my mother safe and Covid free when facilities for the elderly around the world were being overrun with the virus.

Jeff and his staff were so caring and loving with my Mom. Over the years she grew very fond of all of them and was always happy to see them. They in turn made her part of their Hampton House family and loved her dearly.

Jeff and his staff worked with us in real time with anything that came up with my Mom. They kept me informed of any changes with Mom via text, email or phone, depending on the situation. This type of partnership is a huge help and absolutely helped in keeping Mom healthy and happy.

Jeff and his staff made sure that every holiday, birthday or special occasion was celebrated. Delicious gourmet meals were cooked for holidays by Jeff and birthday cake with decorations for every birthday. Their doors were open to our family having dinners in the Hampton dining room and small gatherings outside for big events like my Mom’s 91st birthday. We were always welcome.

Neda, Alma, and Jian cooked 3 fresh meals a day and took into consideration all dietary restrictions, as well as likes and dislikes. Mom loved having dessert every night. They also monitored her water intake to make sure she was drinking enough every day.

All the ladies would enjoy meals together at a family table where they could interact. The staff played bingo and other low impact games to keep them social, moving and smiling, daily.

Sadly, my Mom died on March 10th, two days after her 92nd birthday. Jeff, Kristin, Alma, Elga, Neda and Jian were there with us for weeks helping us navigate her changing needs and keeping her comfortable, as well as making sure she knew she was loved. Alma and Neda very often stayed to help us past the time they were due to leave for the day. It was a blessing to have them with us during a very difficult time.

Whenever I am asked about Hampton House, I answer honestly, that they were truly a blessing and a Godsend for the last five years of Mom’s life.

  3. I will be grateful to the people at Hampton Guest Home for the rest of my life. They provided five years of loving, tender, personal care to my mother that were, in many ways, the most comfortable and gentle days of her life. When we first found Hampton Guest Home, she was 95, living in her condo with round the clock care, bedridden, bored, depressed, and on hospice due to dementia. It was expensive, sad, and even though she was physically quite healthy, we assumed her end was near. I was introduced to Hampton Guest Home through an acquaintance and it was, without a doubt, the best decision I’ve ever made to move her in. She immediately started to thrive, instead of steadily decline. She was taken care of by such wonderful caregivers who got her up and dressed daily, took her outside to breathe the fresh air, and prepared wonderful meals that immediately improved her health. She had a twinkle in her eye and a sense of humor I hadn’t seen in years. She went off hospice and lived another 5 years, passing this last November, surrounded by me and the caregivers who loved her. I’m an only child, so Jeff and the amazing staff became my close siblings as we helped her through a very gentle final passage. I cannot say enough about this place. If you are looking for a home for your loved one that is suffused with love and care, and if you are lucky enough to be selected, you will not be disappointed.

  4. Our mom lived at Hampton for 13 months. I cannot say enough about how well Mary was taken care of. Her room was light and airy, the food was freshly prepared for each meal, they had special events honoring the residents on their birthdays and for the holidays. Each care giver gives so much to every resident. They treated our mom like family, they actually cared about her and took the time to listen to her many stories. The home is beautiful, open and airy. The backyard is safe and comfortable so the residents can enjoy time spent outdoors. I knew our mother was safe and well cared for at Hampton Guest House. Thank you Jeff and all the girls! Lorena

  5. The service and care that our mother received was top notch. The staff is very caring, the amenities were very nice and the food was excellent (cooked fresh every day). It was a very loving environment. The staff truly cared about our mother and her needs. The administration of the facility was a pleasure to work with. No reasonable request or special service was ever denied or ignored. The facility was up to date on the Covid protocols and insured they were implemented. Hampton Guest Home exceeded all of our expectations.
