I’ve had both knees replaced and spent time at Ukiah Post Acute for recuperation purposes after each surgery.
All I can say is that each and every staff person from the CNAs to the Nurses to the Physical therapists and Occupational therapists to the Social workers to the Laundry workers to the Kitchen workers were all friendly and helpful. Never made me feel less than important and well cared for.
And I just got an enthusiastic “Excellent” from my doctor in terms of mobility of my knees. So great he says I don’t need out -patient PT… just keep doing the exercises I learned at UPA facility! Yay!

Michael Wallace I was a patient at Ukiah Post Acute the professionalism from the caretakers and nurses to physical therapy was outstanding had no problems the only problem is with the food a better cook a more understanding dietitian the food there was atrocious the fish we identified as a UFO identified fish object the pork chop was so dry you could have used it for a sponge and the beef stroganoff the beef was so tough it bit you back the noodles are uncooked and there was no sauce poor Jack the mascot took a bite started licking his own butt just to get the taste out of his mouth that’s how bad it
My mother was in Ukiah Post Acute care for several weeks. The professionalism, compassion care and respect she received from ALL was outstanding! When she was able to go home she was in the best mental and physical state we have seen her in for more than a year. This was our first experience with a rehab facility and we were all very scared to face this part of life. Our family has been pleasantly surprised with this experience and highly recommend Ukiah Post Acute! Although she was so eager to come home she was sad to leave the staff and patients.

I have been living at UPA since March, 2023. The facility offers a great Physical/Occupational Therapy program. They also offer activities to help your stay more rewarding. The Staff are terrific. Their caring demeanor and smiles help you get up in the morning.
