Place is horrible. I’ve been to many rehabilitation center in my lifetime.
As soon as u enter their door the overwhelming smell of urine and feces the was so strong. I don’t know how people can stay here with that smell. So sad that patients have to live breathing that awful smell. This is NEVER NORMAL.
I wouldn’t send my dog there for rehab. My roommate left there abused and neglected. She has three bedsores (which she never had before), she said the nurses where mean and did not tend to her needs. I took her out of there a.m.a. They ought to be ashamed!
This place has some good staff. The food is horrible. The patients are great. Some of the management is very unprofessional and make rude comments to the staff. They raise their voices at the staff and treat them like they are nothing.
Terrible. Do not send your loved one here. The KP doctor prescribed a medication for my mother that would’ve caused her existing cancer to grow and spread faster. When I confronted her about it, she didn’t even apologize, just said “in that case, I’ve changed my mind and no longer recommend it”. Keep in mind that the warning about giving this medication to cancer patients is very clear on the manufacturer’s website – it took seconds to Google and figure this out. She clearly didn’t even check her chart to see what pre-existing conditions she had, medications she was taking, etc. I’m terrified thinking about what she endured when I wasn’t there, or what she could’ve endured if my family and I weren’t as involved in her care as we were. The communication was terrible – staff would change her medications without communicating with my family and I. We had to chase down people every day looking for updates and were continuously left in the dark. My mom only stayed less than 3 weeks. I wish we could’ve avoided this particular facility entirely. They neglected to change her bedsore as frequently as needed. She had a stage 3/4 bedsore that was not changed in the last week – I only know bc the day she was transferred to another facility, they saw the date written on the patch when they admitted her – a date of 5 days earlier. It was soiled, foul-smelling, and wet. If you know anything about bedsores, it’s that they should be changed VERY frequently, usually once a day MINIMUM. To top it off, she lost almost 20 pounds in 2.5 weeks. Absolutely abysmal. Do not do it.
