My husband needed their services a few years ago for IV antibiotics for a life-threatening infection. The administrative part of dealing with Arch Care was nightmarish! So rushed in the initial instructions over the phone, and the administrator raced on with her script even when I repeatedly asked her to slow down, that I thought it was a robo-call. Only when I said ‘I’m hanging up’ did she stop reading, clearly annoyed by the interruption. I could not possibly have taken in or written down her rushed instructions. The visiting nurse, who was compassionate, was so overworked that her instructions were equally rushed – and this was about the administration of intravenous antibiotics! Mercifully, both my husband and I were familiar with this procedure or we would have been in serious trouble left on our own. Very few calls were returned, and then always the same rushed service. They have deep pockets and major funding, Catholic Charities and Medicare, and patient dissatisfaction seems a very low priority for this organization. I give 2 stars only for the good quality of nursing care, but the admin? Good luck!
