Our mission is to provide exceptional healthcare and hospitality in a comfortable setting, ensuring the best clinical outcomes and quality of life for our residents.
Birchwood of Spring Branch is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Houston, TX. We emphasize dignity, respect, and excellence in our care.
During our recent visit mostly every Saturday, at Birchwood of Spring Branch, we were warmly greeted by Ruby, who immediately made us feel welcome with her professional smile. Ruby’s friendliness is remarkable; she is always ready and willing to answer any questions we may have!
Thanks

My dad has been in the memory care unit @ Birchwood for almost a year and he is being well taken care of. When I have an issue I reach out to them and the immediately jump into action. I like that I get calls about mediation changes, roommate changes, and weekly updates from his ambassador. I want to give a special shoutout to Lala, Shalish, Alamar, and especially Teshea (I hope I spelled that write) for always being available when it comes to my dad. I am very grateful for the care they are giving my father.
Thank you so much Jaleesa for your fast assistance with getting my loved one into a SNF on such short notice
I wish I could give zero stars. If you love your family member, please find a better place. This is not it. They will fake being nice when you first admit them but eventually their true colors come out.
1. My blind brother had his wheelchair stolen. They were not too worried about. They later claimed another resident had taken it. The chair has my brother’s name all over it. And the only reason they even looked for it is because we threatened to go look ourselves.
2. My brother was sitting in his chair one day in the hallway and someone punched him in the face and gave him a black eye. Amazingly enough no one when who did it or how it happened. We had to go off a blind man’s story of what happened. They claimed they would look into it. Every time I asked him for updates he said he didn’t know and they said the were still looking into it.
3. He often said that the nursing staff were rude and abusive. He had broken his arm and they would still grab him from his arm. I can attest to this because I had gone in person to talk to them about certain situations and the nurses on duty were rude and uncaring
4. I would call the facility often and they would hardly ever answer the phone.
My brother was found on the floor unresponsive and taken to the hospital. The hospital said the facility didn’t forward any information. They said the EMT told the er they had no idea he had been on the ground . His next of kin said it took days before they even knew he was in the hospital. Horrible place!
I wanted to have him moved to another facility, however my brother was scared of change and feared repercussion from the staff while we get things ready to move.
The new management teams are friendly and very attentive to my Aunt. Under new management the place is more colorful, cleaner and more inviting. Staff always available to assist with any questions. I have to call out Lilian. She is a jewel and always a source of comfort to my mother when she visits her sister. The medical and nursing staff keep me informed. Daphne is always so patient when she contacts me about my Aunt. THANK YOU STAFF!!
