The Village of Meyerland provides personalized Assisted Living and Memory Care in the heart of Meyerland, offering spacious senior apartments, caring staff available 24 hours a day, and a range of services and activities.
The Village of Meyerland seems like an excellent facility. The Memory Center in particular offered memory management support and activities that were as good as I’ve seen anywhere. I took the tour with Michael, had my Mother evaluated long distance by Tamara, and I agreed to sign up Mom.
However, that’s when I got to watch my Mother’s dementia accelerate at another facility in North Carolina. My sister was a local near the existing facility and she shut down Mom’s move. Mom’s health continues to decline quickly and I wish she had gotten to the Village of Meyerland where I strongly suspect they could have made a difference.
It was at this moment that I needed to go back to the Village of Meyerland and ask that my commitment to move there be cancelled. I had paid my deposit and signed a contract with a 60 notice period. VOM had me in their crosshairs fair to rights, but they let us back out before we started. These people really care about your family and your situation and I kick myself that my Mother is not there now!

The Village has beautiful facilities and excellent value for the services offered. There is high-quality care with great activities and consideration for what care receivers need.
Did a tour initially with Micheal, and immediately felt the attentiveness to detail about what I was looking for, for my parents. Tamara assisted with a second tour and was very informative and knowledgeable about next steps to get the “ball rolling”!
They both provided additional assistance with navigating parents who are in rehab facilities at the time, but will be moving post-rehab. They have checked on them (and me) to ensure that they were taken care of at the rehab and are still comfortable with the major transition to assisted living! I appreciate the personal touch (watering parents plants while they aren’t there). Looking forward to parents stay here…
