I don’t know if all Morada properties are this bad, but Redbud Place has to be the worst! And there is no contact info, phone number or email, for Morada that I can find. I showed up to one of their properties in McKinney Sunday morning to find no staff on property. And this property is not allowing us to remove our property, the director is extremely aggressive. It looks like we’ll have to be escorted by police, something we absolutely do not want to put the other residents there through. Hopefully someone at Morada will read this review and help us. I would like to think this is a wonderful company and it’s just the staff that are difficult to work with. I guess we’ll see.
UPDATE.
Morada allowed us to remove our loved one’s things from the property. But oou loved one has not recovered from the neglect he sustained at Redbud place. They haven’t offered any return on the almost $5000 he paid for the 4 1/2 days he was there but he is safe now at a wonderful facility I found and is being well taken care of. How the state of Texas lets our seniors be treated like this blows my mind. But they illegally did an unauthorized autopay on his account and wiped his account out, even though we gave in writing he was leaving and to shut automatic withdrawal off, now he has no money for rent at the new facility. Please stay away from Discovery senior Living.

I moved my Mother into this facility on 6 June 2024 and moved her out on 2 July 2024. Here’s why:
1. Most of the care-takers my mother encountered were down right rude and unfriendly. I also experienced the rudeness first hand. Ginger is the best med-tech in the facility.
2. I reached out to the acting director, Bradley Buschow via text to introduce myself and to let him know my Mother had moved in 2 days prior. I also inquired about the broken handicap accessible remote door that was not working when we visited the facility in April and still was not working. This is a facility with elderly using walkers. Two days passed and I still had not received a response. I text back to confirm I had the correct telephone number and still no response. I finally asked the Marketing director if the number was correct and she confirmed that it was. I told her I reached out and did not get a response. She quickly said he was probably tied up (excuses) and she would reach out to him. Brad finally returned called and was anything but welcoming. He claimed that was his personal number and he doesn’t carry his personal phone during the day… reminder…I sent text days ago. He then began to tell me he was unaware the door was broken. I told him it was at a minimum not working since April. He then proceeded to tell me the process of submitting a work request. Hmmm, is it the family of residents responsibility to submit work request for the facility? The next day, I submitted our 30 day notice that we were moving from the facility. Once again, no response. He finally reached back out to tell me the door was fixed and if there was anything he could do to improve our experience at Morada….TOO Late Brad!!
3. I reached out to the Business Manager Barbara, 4 days ago regarding final rent payment. Still awaiting response and we moved out today,
4. The Management team has no urgency in matters, lack common business relationship acumen and do not know their residents. Leadership starts at the top and flows down. This is probably why they have so many caregivers that act like they don’t want to be there.
5. Morada corporate, this facility needs an overhaul….or maybe you are aware of the poor leadership team and just don’t care about the care of our elderly. Do Better!
6. PLEASE do not move your loved one into this facility!
SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO POST UNLESS I ENTERED A STAR….ZERO STARS
The food is terrible and they keep increasing the residents rent, they promise everyone three hot meals a day and other things when they go for a tour, then after residents move in things change, corporate won’t do anything either, residents have discussed issues in meetings and nothing changes,it’s all about money here,if the cook doesn’t like you she gives poor food and service, they also have favorites they cater to more, they also talk about residents in the kitchen where people can hear them in the dining room, please don’t let your parents/ family move here. Residents are always moving in/ out of here. I had insite experience of this place and residents told me about things that happened to the. The cedar hill location is the main complaint but after reading reviews I’m sure it’s everywhere..
My mother lives there. The food is terrible. All the money she pays and most of the time she doesn’t eat. She also has roaches. Administration has someone fumigate but the roaches are getting worse.
Lots of turn over. Lots of miscommunication and can’t seem to keep vendors paid in a timely basis, which makes the residents suffer. Sad
