The most loving, kind, professional staff. Vicki, Nurse Cassandra and Maria came to my rescue when I needed them the most. This is truly a patient-centered home where the residents’ wants and needs are placed above all else. I haven’t seen any place in the metroplex that comes close to Teresa’s House. Prior to discovering Teresa’s, my parents were in beautiful, high-end facilities that operated without the simplistic understanding of The Golden Rule. Teresa’s House is truly an exceptional place.
We are so grateful that we found Teresa’s House for my mom! The staff is so caring and truly treat the residents like their own family members. The executive team, as well as owners, are always accessible and on the premises and know each of us by name. They also provide a monthly support group for family members, which is so appreciated to walk this journey with us. It is a beautiful facility, with absolutely excellent meals prepared by a chef! My mom is now eating 3 healthy and delicious meals. There are so many wonderful activities provided every single day to get them involved and have some fun! This has been an answered prayer for our family and can’t thank everyone at Teresa’s House enough! I give them five plus stars!!!
I have a family member who is in hospice and living at Teresa’s house. I was the one for my family who did the research for the perfect assisted living facility and Teresa’s House was far and above the perfect choice. This kind of a move is challenging to say the least, every person involved with our decision has been exemplary and has helped to make our move go smoothly. From the CEO on down to the weekend nights attendants, the entire staff continue to provide excellent care. In particular, the Nursing Director and her nursing staff continue to provide superior care which gives my family great comfort Many thanks.
My Mom moved into Teresa’s House a couple of months ago. Well on the dementia spectrum, we needed to find a memory care facility that could provide her the 24×7 level of care she required. We visited numerous care facilities in San Diego, where her first memory care experience was, and in DFW. Most places we checked out ranged from dark, sad places to psych ward-like lockdowns. Our initial visit to Teresa’s House was entirely different. Residential rooms are big and bright with plenty of natural light flowing in. Facilities are spotlessly clean with a positive energy and vitality that radiates throughout. I see lots of compassion and dignity shown by the staff to all the residents, regardless of the state they are in and the staff works hard to learn about each resident and personalize their care to each individual’s unique needs and interests. One of the biggest differentiators is that Teresa’s House makes every effort to maximize the quality of life for these residents in their final stages of life. They play games, have parties and social events, go out in the summer showers to dance, bring in Welsh ponies and pets to visit, serve them good food – anything to make the residents smile and feel loved. At the same time they run a tight ship, with all the safety and medical protocols you would expect. Their new memory care facility just opening in McKinney is fully gated and has extensive walking areas to give the residents added independence. The activity center is off the charts, with a vintage Mustang and tools to tinker with and a working retro kitchen complete with rotary wall phone, posters and all the trappings from the 1950’s and ‘60’s. Kudos to the owners Godwin and Teresa for having this vision and successfully executing on it, and to the wonderful staff that makes it feel like a true home. We feel very fortunate to have found Teresa’s House.
