UPDATED 12/27
Its been days, NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN NURSING OR NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATION HAS CALLED TO DISCUSS MY CONCERNS despite me being told repeatedly they will be calling me imminently. This despite THREE hospitalizations in 6 weeks after NONE for respiratory failure in 5 years, and nurse Jarrod telling me repeatedly my sister is on 2L of oxygen when it should be 4, and telling me it is written in her notes to be 2, and then all else saying “no, it doesnt say that anywhere”. All other non-admin nurse supervisors agreeing it says nowhere it should be 2!!! Really NOT Ok. Very unprofessional not one single Mgmt level person has gotten back to me under these conditions!! You too could be going through this anxiety and very unprofessional behavior. Beware!!
UPDATED half hour later:
After I posted this, nurse answered the phone. AND LITERALLY UNBELIEVABLY, told me they had her on the half dose of oxygen again…this time 2 days ago still in hospital unable to wean her off high flow, then got her to get by overnight on 4L (her normal) and discharged to Adira. He tells me they have her on 2L, could not be more POSITIVE hospital said 4L, Hospitalist told me so. BEWARE!!!!
UPDATED 12/25/2024
It is UNBELIEVABLE what I am going through with this nursing home. My sister who is a long term resident for 1 3/4 years was hospitalized 3 TIMES in the past 6 weeks for respiratory failure, shes on oxygen. Has not been hospitalized for this in years. She is 65. I was told by her nurse Jarrod she has been on HALF of her required dose of oxygen starting at end of last hospitalization, leading to the THIRD respiratory failure! She has NEVER been on that low dose at Adira, that was crazy. When I questioned Jarrod he said when she returned from the hospital the last 2 times the nursing home wrote she should be on 2L. I spoke to supervisors who said that is NOT SO, the order was for 4L. Noone will get back to me with clarification! This btw was after them expressing they preferred her to leave the nursing home a few months back! Um, so….what is up??!!! She was just released from 3rd hospital stay yesterday, trying to reach someone to confirm critical details for her post-hospital care, not the nurses station, nor the nurse supervisor will answer the phone. I have now tried 17 freakin times! They just dont answer then hang up the phone. And YOU WILL FIND THEY DO THIS ALOT OF THE TIME IF YOU HAVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. I have seen them let the phone just ring many times! And they will pick it up and hang up. And there is NO WAY TO LEAVE A MESSAGE for them (in case busy, unable to answer phone at the moment). But the 17 times Ive called was over a time period. I am her health care proxy and the family member who follows her, but am in another state. So cannot go there now. HER LIFE HAS BEEN AND MAY NOW BE ENDANGERED. THEY WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE, this is unbelievable and Ive had it!!! This place really sucks, the admin REALLY sucks-Ive NEVER gotten them on the phone despite leaving a few messages over the last 21 months, and there is alot more negative I could say. STAY AWAY, IM DEAD SERIOUS!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS NOT OK DESPITE ANY (extremely likely many fake) REVIEWS YOU SEE.
March 2024 – Modified post, going through some serious issues, hoping all will be well, specifically that my family member treated well and without prejudice, and according to rules from this point foward.
I give this rating because Christine, social worker is the worst. I called her and left messages on numerous occasions to get information on my aunt who was long term at this facility and she never returned my calls. They need to find someone who is passionate and care for the patients and their families. She’s in the wrong field.
I enjoyed this facility so much. The staff treated me with respect, and the level of care was excellent. The physical theraphy was so great, housekeeping staff made me feel at home. This facility will always be my first choice if the needs arises again. Thank you guys for your support!
