  1. I went today to schedule a tour for my grandmother. My fiance went and parked his car and waited for me to arrive. A male who was conducting maintenance outside came up to his truck rudely knocked on his window and told him to lower his window. He then stated that he was not allowed to park there even though my fiance explained that he was about to enter the facility to to discuss the program and he proceeded to yell saying that he was the facility and that location belonged to him and that my fiance still could not park there. They yelled back and forth and the approach was so disrespectful and unprofessional ! I cannot believe the audacity this man had ! I will not be enrolling my family in this facility if the staff is going to be this disrespectful! I can only imagine the way they would treat her based on the way they treated my fiance ! ABSOLUTELY NOT !

  2. My review is quite different than the previous ones.
My father was severely injured from a fall that took place at the facility. My father sat in agony for over 15 hours without a true medical assessment. According to staff and admin, my father was doing just fine when we called earlier that day. Upon arrival, we found out my father sustained 3 broken ribs and puncture to lung. When I called to get information I was kindly informed to review my signed contract that they can not guarantee members will not fall. Falls I can expect, but for admin, caregivers, kitchen staff, etc to sit there in pain and not have the decency to call 911 is appalling. I called corporate office and sent email and did receive a call back until days later from some admin stating he apologized for delay and was informed state inspector was at location site and that if my sister or I had reported them that was fine…. The lack of compassion, of human decency or concern is unbelievable. They were pretty understanding and kind when I paid them…. As I told your community marketer , as angry and hurt as I am I would never wish that treatment on any of your loved ones… and as for your “we followed protocols”, you know what you can do with that.. I hope when your loved one sits in pain for 15 hours, your heart will be comforted with the fact “protocol was followed”

  3. Avalon Memory Care was an amazing experience for our mother. From the very beginning the staff was attentive and caring. They genuinely cared for and about her. The kitchen staff made really good smelling food. The facility was clean and comfortable. We were very pleased every time we went to visit.

  4. My dad was in another facility ( will not mention) due to certain circumstances after hospital visit was not allowed to return. !This was at 5pm in the eventing Avalon (Marquita and the staff ) not only stepped up to the plate but they turned it around in a matter of hours!!!! They worked after hours to make this happen and welcomed my dad with open arms and have continued to be a blessing to him and my family I highly recommend Avalon . They are now a part of my family !

  5. My husband has Parkinson’s and dementia. At Avalon, I feel that his needs are a priority for the staff. The facility is run in a professional manner and staff, both day & night, are kind, compassionate and well trained. They have experience working with people with memory loss and, since the facility is small, (maximum 26), staff gets to know each resident as an individual. The on site manager is an RN and works closely with hospice companies, health care professionals, and follows state guidelines for elder care. The building itself is up-scale with lovely furnishings and the living room has comfortable recliner’s for residents. The food is cook daily by the chefs and enjoyed by residents. The rooms are large, TV included, and each room has a state of the art bathroom. The cost for me personally is less than at another facility where he was before. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved-one.
