Great facility
I would not recommend this place as a place for your family or as a place of employment. Everything here is subpar. It’s a 2 star building with 1 star management yet they sell it as 5 star to the people looking to use this place for their family that need long term care. The management here is a joke. Directors do not do their jobs, the toxic cycle is perpetuated here as anyone who reports or speaks up about the issues going on here, end up either leaving because nothing gets resolved or terminated for saying they are going to home office to report directors for not doing their job. Residents go without proper care regularly due to care staff either being short staffed or just out right don’t want to do their jobs and spend their time sitting in the halls and playing on their phones. Meds are mismanaged, people who are not trained nor certified are on the cart regularly causing med errors to happen, showers marked down as refused whenever staff don’t want to do them, directors refuse to cover shifts or fill open spots in the schedule, bri always seems to either be “out of town” or sick and can’t work.
Bottom line, if you love yourself or your family, I would not consider Bonaventure

As someone who worked here for TWO YEARS, it’s an absolute disgrace to the senior living community the way you guys run this place. If speaking up against directors and management that are not doing their job or about things that are nearly or downright illegal means not acting accordingly, then yes, that would be me. It was also very clear and evident by not just me, but other employees and residents and their families that this place does NOT value residents nor their care.
My father with dementia lived in Memory care from November 2022 – May 2024. My experience was completely positive. The staff were patient, caring, kind, responsive, and professional. I highly recommend Bonaventure Puyallup. I only wish that I have moved him to Bonaventure/Puyallup sooner so that he could have enjoyed all the amenities and resources and activities available to the residents in independent and assisted living.
This senior living facility does not provide 24/7 security of the parking areas. There is a sign posted that states that cameras surveil the parking areas. However it’s just a sign , No Cameras. Our vehicle legally parked was struck by a hit and run driver during the night resulting in considerable damage and expense. i.e. Lt. front fender and head lamp, front bumper, Right front wheel and tire, Steering control arm, frame alinement, and various trim and painting of replacement parts. The only action taken by Bonaventure management was to place a sign on our vehicle stating that the vehicle must be moved. Disappointing. Jerry Flint Resident.
Lovely facility, but unfortunately the management meddle in the private affairs of their residents. My dear friend requested a copy of his own power of attorney and was refused! I guess they want him to stay against his will. Not very professional. That’s not the kind of help we need!
