The care of my husband has been excellent. Physical therapists doing a good job. Everyone has
been wonderful and helpful including the office staff. Food is very good. Rooms are old but very clean. Only one complaint, the beds are horribly uncomfortable and old.
I am just giving 1 star to share my mother’s short stay at this facility. My mother was hospitalized an the social worker sent me a list of Rehab places where this place have a 4 stars rating by Medicare standards. The first day I went home to bring my mother’s personal items when I arrived I found my mother soaked in her urine all the way to her back. My mom had asked for help because she wanted to urinate and she was told to pi in her pampers. They gave me all kind of excuses for this incident.
The bathroom was in a deplorable condition, there was a rusted broken sink where if either my mother or I got cut, we probably have to get a tetanus shot. The sink and the incident spoke a 1,000 words about this facility and its administration. I did not want my mother to stay 1 more day and thankfully we were transferred back to Belmont that is a lot better than this facility and it has higher standards for its patients.
Been calling the Director for 2 weeks, left 6 messages to please return my call. Stopped by on 4 occasions, sweet receptionist could not understand why she wasn’t calling me back. Looking for a long term care facility/bed for my dad. Finally today she is annoyed enough that she comes out of her office and rudely tells me she has no beds available. Could Crystal the director just have called me back? Also left 4 messages for another staff member. No return phone calls. Since we are private pay found another facility that was happy to take our money. A little further drive but at least they return phone calls. I am sure this place is fine but geez return your phone calls.
When I went to visit my sister inlaw for the first time my sister said she was getting transferred to a rehab facility. When I get there I notice it was a nursing / rehab. So as I’m going to enter the door a man was at the door me not knowing he was a patient. I told the person in front is this man supposed to get out she said let me look. How was supposed to know he was coming out . When I opened the door the place smelled like urine so bad . When my sister told me don’t come because my room smells like urine it hasn’t been cleans with more reason I still went and took her fabrezz, It was the whole place.l walk into her room she was all to the edge of the bed. Bags all on the floor like someone had moved in . I saw my sister-in-law’s lips so cracked and white where she hadn’t water . Mind you she had been there since Friday, I asked my sister what is going on here have you had any water or something to eat she said no. I asked her do you have any water anywhere in this room she said no. Honestly I didn’t know how things work in there . So I went looking for a nurse and I said can I please have some water for her I see three nurse at the nurses desk laughing and having a good old time. she
said I would have to go look for some. I ask do you have a cup so I can put ice and water I can go get it . She said we don’t have anymore on this side I have to go get it on the other side . I waited and waited she forgot. So I see her across the hall and she said I’ll be right with you the third time I said I can go get it just tell me where. So I I started putting things away in her room. Finally I went out there again she said I’m coming. When she walks in I said she needs to be moved on her sides because she has a sore on her back and asked my sister in-law have they been moving you she said no. So I said can she be moved look how she’s hanging she said I can’t only the therapist can do it and I was like so she has to wait until Monday she said yes. I was like wow , she said I’m the only one were short. I asked my sister in-law how do you warm up your soup or even get help when you need something. She said whenever they come in here. And the way talk to the patients is not very nice they don’t know any better. I was really fooled when you see the outside and neighborhood it can fool you. My sister in-law just passed away Sunday in there and never the whole time did a nurse walk in until hours later she came in and was told . I never saw hospice go in I really don’t know what kind of place this is.
