This is one worst places I’ve ever had to stay at. The place is filthy dirty bathrooms with feces on floor on toilet seat,my room was clean once in five days. The staff was very rude not all of them but most were. The staff were loud were not helpful at all . I’ had a nurse who on three occasions took my socks off too check my toes absolutely no reason for that. One night I needed help getting adjusted in my bed that I couldn’t do on my own, I waited 45 mins nobody came to help so I called my grandson to come and help me. My Grandson called my wife and told her she immediately called the nurses station and complain with in 30 seconds I had three people in my room to help.The nurse I had came in the room with medication she had a pain patch for my back I told her that the patches don’t help me so I don’t need it. She left my room and came back about ten mins later and said to me the Director Nursing said I had to have one put on. I found out that this was not true I had the right to refuse it. When I left my friend was helping me out of the building one of the staff stop to open the door, my friend said to him how can you work here this place is disgusting the employee look at us and said I totally agree with you and so does a number employees I work with say the same thing, but we can’t afford to say anything because we need our jobs. Do not go to this place for medical treatment . I made the mistake don’t you. I can’t believe the Health Department lets this place stay open.
Kara Macdonald from Colonial Park Rome, came to our center for one of our events. She brought amazing door prizes and was very kind to our members. What was even more impressive was that she came days after Rome suffered a tornado. Colonial Park has Amazing staff and i just wanted people to know.
There is a select handful of staff here that take their job seriously and realize that what they do is important.. there is also a select handful of staff that treat their job as if they are working at walmart.. I’ve seen staff get extremely aggressive with visitors of patients and even allow patients to exit the facility although the doors are locked, not to mention the unprofessional behavior of lying when things like this happen. If your family member has any sort of mental illness or disorder I would not choose this place unless it was the only nursing home left in the world.. save yourself the hassle and find somewhere that actually takes their job seriously
THE ENTIRE STAFF IS FANTASTIC
THE REHAB FOLKS BOTH PHYSICAL AND OCTUPATIONAL THERAPY HELP ME GET MY LEGS AND ARMS FUNTIONING BETTER THAN THEY HAVE FOR YEARS AS I SAID THE WHOLE STAFF IS GREAT BUT THE STANDOUTS FOR ME ARE DANELLE, RUBY, MAGGIE, HAILY, PAULINE, HIRAM. THIS LIST COULD GO ON BUT THEY MENT THE MOST TO ME
The nursing staff have been very helpful in helping me to be able to speak with my mother and ensuring she receives the best care. I would highly recommend for family. Ruby has been an incredible help, I am forever in her debt not only for the care of my mom, but for helping my mom and I FaceTime many times a week.
