When we first purchased here 6 years ago, we did it in anticipation of retirement. My husband and I were 60 and 59 years old. We love our home and have done many upgrades. However, there’s been a lot of changes with who’s running the community. The HOA fees keep going up and up. They have a lot of rules but they are never enforced by driving through and notifying homeowners of violations that take away from the look of the neighborhood. People with “artificial flowers” out in the yard looking tacky. People who don’t maintain the weeds and ant hills in their lawns that spread to neighboring yards. Yard art all over the beds in front of houses that look cheap. For two years the pools and spas were closed a lot. Some of that was repairing broken equipment but on at least two occasions is was due to residents losing control of their bowels in the pool! We pay high HOA fees but refuse to use the pools and spas because we are disgusted with people urinating and defecating in the pools. The tiles and walk-in ledge surfaces going into the pool are black assuming from dirt that is tracked in an not cleaned routinely.
And in the last two years, FL has been over run with people who have gotten dogs and are irresponsible pet owners allowing them to poop and pee in other residents yards and barking outside numerous times a day all day long, without taking them inside. It’s hard to have visitors to sit on our patio, or for us to use the spa we purchased because the dogs bark at our talking and that with the privacy screens we have.
The dog situation is out of control. Makes it miserable to use your outside space.
Nice little community here by the lake! We were able to help with removal of insulation and replace since there were rodents in an attic.
Beautiful community for seniors. Several Beautiful community senior centers with lots of activities for seniors to do. Beautiful well maintained and nice pool which is covered to protect from the hot sun. Very close to restaurants and Walmart and CVS and Walgreens. They even have several groups from several states for seniors to meet from there home state.
Frisco Lakes is a really great community. My mom lives there and she loves it. They have so many events and activities going on it is impressive.
