They take great care of my dad
The folks here at Extended Care Hospital have been so kind to my mom, and our family. The staff in its entirety is very professional, helpful, caring, warm and friendly and they treat my mom as if she’s part of a family there. although, having my mom, be well, and at home would be ideal, having her there, and knowing that she’s being so well taken care of makes my heart feel so much better. I actually enjoy myself when I go to visit! I really am just so appreciative of everything that they do here. Thanks everybody!
I toured this building today and met with their Administrator/CFO and Director of Nursing. I found it to be very clean, staffed with polite & professional people and smiling faces. They have been around a long time, which says a lot. I really like how it’s across the street from the hospital too.
The problem I discovered about this facility is that they do not follow their own policy. Their policy states the insurance company will set cost for patients. It also states that they charge a daily rate. However, my mother was charged a monthly rate and staff in billing set the cost. We had to call Medicare to find out the truth. I was also disturb when I heard the head nurse say “I knocked her out. She won’t be bothering us no more today. I put it in her IV.” This place is horrible and they are lairs. If you love you family member try another option. One staff member violated HIPPA law and patient confidentiality. This person Simone Gonzales works in billing. She over charged my mother and asked for payment in a money order. She also posted information about my mother on Facebook. That person from billing also held an unauthorized meeting with our family and wrote in my mother’s chart. Some of the staff are polite and work hard but the mean staff members are liars and will keep your loved one medicated. Once we removed our mother and took her to her doctor, he was amazed about all the unnecessary medicine my mother was taken while being there for 27 days. I know what the policy states but also know what we were told by staff
