I’m going to start off by saying that I learned alot on how insurances & facilities & hospitals work. It is amazing to me how it all works together and it seems Patient’s are not a priority anymore, it’s the “Old mighty dollar” (so sad to say) My Mom was 93 unfortunately this was where she was placed after hospital (Rehab facility) The Hospital Queen of the Valley Recomended it highly plus my Mothers Dr. worked out of this facility but I never saw her there. I was there everyday & with help of Family we slept over. We stood by my Moms side always so we saw so much. At the beginning everyone is really super nice. But to me once my Mom was incapable of continuing with Rehab they moved onto the next. I learned she wasn’t rehab material anymore & that’s not there job to nurse her solely. She was there until I finally said I’m taking her home. She passed away on hospice but she passed at home surrounded with family, not in there and that was never my intention to keep her there forever. Just know Rehab is just that. Your loved one is there for that only! Insurances only pay so many days of it. If you don’t have a secondary it comes out of pocket. I’m talking thousands not hundreds. Other thing is you need need to be present always. Your loved one depends on you! Lastly never hesitate to confront staff… I’m one who will definetly do that & i did! while I would be there with my Mom I’d call nurses on other patients who were calling out..I hope I never have to experience such a place again. But if for some reason I do I know how to handle the situation. My Dad was in a rehab where they transferred him while in there down the hall which became hospice status .They were honest with me & talked to me about options. Not here… I decided it was time to bring her home. I’m so glad I did. Let me also just say before I end this, not all staff was uncaring thier were some who tried thier best to work with my Mom. And I’m so grateful to them, I thanked them so much. I wrote this today because I had intended to but never could it was hard. But if I can help someone else understand how it all works. Than I feel a sense of calm & that I spoke up on my Moms behalf.
If you have a loved one in need of care, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.
The place looks nice on the outside but holy hell, this place leaves their patients completely unattended and neglected.
DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
There are patients screaming for nurses, patients who need help getting to the restroom being ignored, and it’s completely unacceptable.
DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
We have a family member who needed assistance from recovering from a major surgery, and thought this establishment would be a good place to transition them back home from being in the hospital. WE WERE SO WRONG.
DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
Recovering from surgery or any medical condition is a profoundly vulnerable time for many patients. It is not uncommon for them to feel down but to deprive them of assistance at an establishment that is meant to look after patients is both unacceptable and frustrating. Such experiences can significantly impact their emotional well-being during an already challenging period.
This place is a scam, DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
Heed the warnings of all of the 1 star ratings on Yelp – we failed to and we regret it. OH, and DID I MENTION….
DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.
MAJOR PROBLEMS HERE!
Okay what is going on!!! My mother had to wait hours for someone to change her portapotty. LITERALLY OVER 3 HOURS!
Has to wait forever for anyone to help! They have a small monitor at the end of the hall that displays when a patient needs help. That’s if anyone actually notices….
THEY NEED A LIGHT OUTSIDE THE ROOMS TO NOTIFY WHEN SOMEONE CALLS. Or better yet a beeper on each CNA/Nurse.
My mom’s roommate had to wait an hour for someone to help her use the bathroom….
Once you can actually verbally notify someone you have to wait even longer for them to come back!
If they come back at all!!
This place needs MORE staff and a light call system.
Also the FOOD!!! Prisoners eat better!!!
I seriously feel bad for the residents here…
This isn’t care at all …
