Heritage Pointe Senior Living Community

My dad was there and had an issue and went to Cookeville hospital then to rehab. He was discharged back to HP on a pureed diet. After awhile he was weak and depressed because he became too weak to feed himself . I left him April 1 to come home to California’s and May 9 I returned to care for him at my niece’s home because he wasnt being cared for there. At that point he had skin covering his skeleton. He died two weeks later. The facility was charging $5800 and said they couldn’t feed him. I am In disbelief that anyone can just put food down in front of someone walk away and then pick up the food untouched without a conscious! They should have never taken him back from rehab if he wasn’t appropriate for the assistance needed for his care. Dad was on hospice and speaking to the nurses i could tell he wasn’t getting f what he needed. Thats when my niece stepped up and rescued him but it was too late. Dad was too far gone. The fact they allowed him to stay in that facility knowing they weren’t providing what he needed breaks my heart. My sister was in charge if everything and has no idea what it tales to care for someone and she allowed it but someone should have let her know they couldn’t provide what he needed. Their solution was to mive him to memory care in that facility and charge $1000 more a month. People need to be aware assisted living is nit for patients who actually need assistance with ADLs.

Thank you Heritage Pointe for taking such great care of my mother and allowing her to still have her independence. She loves her new home, new friends, and all the fun activities! We love how welcome we feel every time we stop by!

My grandmother lives here and we’ve been very impressed with the facility. Wonderful staff and a great home for people in need of varying levels of care!

My grandmother, Jane, lives here and has had the best experience! She’s been here a year and, before that, my great grandmother was here. It’s a wonderful staff. They plan so many fun activities for the residents. We love Heritage Pointe!
