Would give it a negative if I could. Do not send your loved one to this place. My mother in law is elderly, has COPD and congestive heart failure. They transferred her to Bryan Manor from St. Joseph Hospital for short term rehab before sending her home. She went to this place just yesterday. Upon coming to visit her, her room smelled strongly of urine. She already had a bed sore from staying in the hospital for 2 months. This place had her laying in urine for a long time, she is too weak to go to the potty chair. She was having trouble breathing in the middle of the night and it took 2-3 hours for them to help her. Then afterwards lectured her about her ” not being the only patient”. During her assessment they had her sit up in the bed, asked her how she felt, and when she said she felt “woozy” they replied “assessment is over. Needless to say, we are taking her back home. At the hospital they took good care of her, but Bryan Manor doesn’t…or their employees are just uncaring and too lazy to do their job. She had been in Navasota Swing Bed Rehab and they were great, unfortunately due to a change in insurance, they were no longer in network. It took all my patience not to act like a fool as I was so angry…they don’t care if we take her from there tonight as another poor sick, elderly person will take her place…they care about the money but not for the people they are entrusted to care for. Disgusted with Bryan Manor.
Very kind and loving caretakers! The PT and OT therapists are knowledgeable and so nice to work with! The facility is kept very clean. The one drawback is the food, but one can order from a supplemental menu, and it has many delicious choices. Such a great facility when you need skilled nursing help!
Do not bring your loved one here. With the exception of a couple of people that work here, the great majority of workers are extremely unkind and would rather be anywhere else. They are rude and make it known that they don’t enjoy their job. The residents are not properly cared for. I would even say neglected. When the residents put their call button on, they could be waiting for over an hour for someone to come, if they come at all. The food is awful. The person I come to visit often will throw away their meal and not eat due to its terrible taste or lack of taste. I once came and heard a resident calling for help with not a single worker on the lower level. Unless the resident is COMPLETELY independent they will not be happy and healthy here.

Love this facility: it really is like a family. Could use some help with the food
