Welcome to Ivy Park at San Ramon, where compassionate care meets vibrant living in the heart of the Bay Area.
Beautiful surroundings, landscaping and its nestled in the midst of park-like setting Great staff, it smelled SO GOOD THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE BUILDING, so appreciated that. A wonderful place to make your own. I look forward to possibly joining the Ivy Park Family,
It’s a tough and expensive journey to find senior living for a loved one. In looking for a place for my mom, we evaluated three closest to my home in Danville. We chose Ivy Park for several reasons. The property was very nice, the staff seemed great and they could handle a short move down the hall to memory care if my mom eventually needs it.
My mom has been a resident since May. Her room was newly remodeled and has nice views of San Ramon Hills. It’s a big place so consider proximity to elevators and common areas if mobility is an issue.
On the food, the regular 7-7 menu includes basic breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, etc. Their daily lunch and dinner specials have surprising variety and creativity. Overall, I’d give the food a B+ (fries get an A+!!).
They have activities planned every day from 9 to about 6 and those too reflect creativity and variety.
Most importantly, they seem to really understand that hiring the right personalities matters. Every caretaker, maintenance person, front desk staff, med techs, etc have proven to be kind, loving and professional. I visit 4-5 times a week and watch the staff directly interact with my mom even though they don’t know I’m even there at some points.
I would love to see them add technology so work flow is tracked. There are times that I make a request and I never know if it happened until I go back. Would be so much more comforting if I could go to a portal and see when meds were given, shower given, toilet seat fixed, etc. My sister lives in Sacramento and this issue is even more challenging for remote family. From my research, this is an issue in most assisted living places but I still root for Ivy to be an industry leader.
Overall, I’m very happy with our choice. They are worth a tour. Good luck to those starting the journey. I know it’s not easy.
This place has made a terrible, sad situation a little less stressful and scary. Their staff has jumped through hoop after hoop to help us make this move happen. They’ve offered so much compassion and support throughout this whole process and never made us feel bad for all the extra help we needed in the application process. They supported us before we even decided that we were going with Ivy Park and gave us lots of good questions to ask other places as we toured. Not something we thought to ask until they told us, but not many places like this keep your family until end of life. But Ivy Park does. Knowing that we’re moving our family into a place that keeps her until her last day and knowing she won’t have to move again which is scary and stressful is very comforting to know. She loves the people here and the staff are always so friendly and supportive.
A month ago, I found out my mother who lives alone has dementia & was about to lose her home. I had been told about Ivy Park & they reached out to me to give me info and a tour. They were unbelievably patient, kind, compassionate, and encouraging during the whole process. I’m 24 years old and did not expect to have to do this so early in my life, so I had absolutely no idea what to do or how to do it. Cindy and Melissa quite literally held our hands the entire time, pointed us in the right direction, and helped provide contacts for outside issues we were having to help us move things along. They had an unbelievable amount of patience for us and did literally everything in their power and more to help us with this huge move. They let my mom visit as many times as she needed and comforted her, showed her around multiple times, introduced her to people, encouraged her and got her excited about the move. This place and the staff are truly phenomenal. For the cost of rent, you get SO MANY amenities and services. Someone comes in and does their laundry and bedding/towels weekly, house keeping weekly, they have a Michelin star chef making meals from 7am to 7pm every day and staff that waits on them in a dining room, so many events, activities, classes, excursions, and more. Knowing that my mom will have a safe place to stay where she’s cared for, fed, and going to have support is priceless. Even for my mother who hasn’t had a job and myself who is 24 and just starting my life and paying student loans, they had a low income option which made this place possible. I cannot express how much gratitude I have to Ivy Park and their staff for everything they’ve done already and everything they will do. If you want a good experience and to trust the people you’re working with and who are taking care of your family, choose Ivy Park. Or at least speak with someone and take a tour. You won’t regret it.
