  1. I’m only giving Kit Carson one star because I don’t have the option to put ZERO stars. This place is a disgrace if you have family here I urge you to move them to another facility. Kit Carson discontinued my grandmother’s heart medication for articular fibrillation and that caused her to have a stroke. They did not have a doctor’s permission and not only that but they didn’t take her to her kidney doctor appointments for months and when we attempted to move her to another facility they called the cops and tried to say that her power of attorney was trying to kidnap her long story short this place is a joke her belongings where “lost” just from moving rooms. The place is filthy, her nurse was completely unprofessional. I could go on and on, Kit Carson should be shut down!

  2. It’s Christmas and we were told we could pick my aunt up but non stop calls getting hung up on we are unable to get ahold of them I am reporting them to adult social services such a neglectful staff unfortunately

  3. I’m giving Kit Carson a coveted five star review for very specific and important reasons. I have 30 years of experience with Kit Carson and, in the past year or more, have seem significant improvements in happiness, both residents and staff.

I assisted a client through Rehab there, but also have a relative there in permanent care. I’m pleased by what I have witnessed for both.

Are they perfect? No. Did I notice areas that could be improved? Of course. I’m not rating them perfect, but in this weird time when it’s hard to get caring workers in any field and this thankless profession has been laid low, Kit Carson was done the opposite and made real and noticeable strides to the good. I will be watching and rating, but so far: <3

  4. This place on the surface looks decent. But when you walk in its disgusting and sad. I tried to give it a chance because my loved one needed temporary care for medicine distribution and physical therapy. I heard quite a few of rumors about the facility, but wanted to have an open mind for myself.
The first few days seemed ok, but my loved one stated that the staff really does not pay attention to you. You’ll ask for a simple need (milk let’s day) and it took over an hour and a half to receive that.
In my scenario my loved one need antibiotics daily for 36 days. After 6 days the staff discontinued the medicine on their own. It took my loved one to call me to tell me this. When I called in to talk to someone (takes and act of congress to get ahold of anyone in that facility by the way)
I went round and round for 10 minutes with the staff person that my loved one needed this medicine. She looked my loved one up and kept telling me that my loved one was discharged 3 days ago. WTH!!!!
I am trying to keep this short and nice but I am sure you can imagine how frustrating this is.
Finally got a hold of a really nice nurse from Sutter that we were working with when my loved one was in the hospital. Turns out the orders WERE for 36 days and the facility really messed up is intake information. I do not want to get into the details of this medication and why my loved one needs it, but I will say this could have been very dangerous missing any more days.

So, if this is the ONLY option for you, I understand, it really was for us. BUT you have to advocate for your loved one, you can not just assume they are being taken care of in that dump. Check in daily at the minimum, and follow up, YOU are the only one that really loves and cares for your loved on stuck there.
