After some initial trepidation and worry, I came to fully appreciate the staff as they were both dedicated and committed to providing the best service available. The kindness and respect for individual dignity was impressive. I spent 5 weeks working with OT and PT techs and have come out the other side stronger and more confident in my ability to thrive. In a heartbeat I would recommend this facility to any and all. There are too many names to recognize so I will leave it at simply I have made a great number of friends. I sincerely thank you Fuquay Health and Rehabilitation. EG
Our experience while my mother was here was pretty good. As with any facility, there were minor issues, but they were handled once brought to their attention. Overall, the staff was courteous, attentive, and took good care of my mother. I would bring any member of my family here.
Mistakes happen since we are all human but Jessica went WAY BEYOND to make it up. My mom was being sent to FQ Health and Rehab after a fall and her bed was unavailable when she arrived so they sent mom back to the hospital. Jessica actually visited my mom at the hospital and brought her a stuffed bear. Her room was ready the next day and she was greeted with gifts and smiles. All the care she has received there has been so personal and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Mom really doesn’t want to go back to her regular assisted living now!
I had to.. had to write again! Fairy (that’s her actually name) has actually been such a beautiful light and an encouragement to me and our family-want a meeting? Need a ride for your loved one to see a specialist? Whatever you need she is there for you!
And Patricia Parkinson in the office! She literally brought me to tears today with her caring and encouraging words!
THIS PLACE IS SPECIAL! THANK YOU!!
The nighttime nurse to patient ratio is 1 nurse for every 20 rooms. If your loved one doesn’t require a lot of care, this might not be an issue but I felt very unsafe leaving my dad with dementia unattended at any time. This was no fault of the nurses, but attending to 20 rooms for 1 nurse only allows for 3 minutes per patient in a hour. The staff is very friendly but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my dad for any amount of time except for when the occupational therapist was with him.
