My mom was in Lodi Creek for a month. During her stay I was impressed by the entire staff for their care and dedication. Mom had wounds that needed to be dressed daily and Clara was able to get her wounds to near healed. So grateful! She had PT and what mom called brain exercises daily. Rachelle, mom’s case worker really worked with us to be sure mom was getting services and kept me in the loop with decisions between my mom’s health provider and Lodi Creek. I want to thank the entire staff at Lodi Creek for the care shown to my mom.
My grandmother has been sent to this place and on the third night problems already started. My grandmother called me and I could hear her out of breath and she told me through gasps that she could not breathe and that she was all peed on because the cnas or rns did not go help her to the bathroom. I mentioned to them that she needs help to the restroom because she can not walk very well and she can not be sitting in urine because she gets urinary tract infections very easily. The UTI is the main thing that caused her to be sent to the hospital in the first place.
When she called me I was trying to call this place to make them go to her room and it took 6 times for them to finally answer and when they did they hung up on me. When my mother and I arrived we walked into my grandmothers room and saw her out of breathe, shivering and soaked in pee up to her waist because they never came to help her to the bathroom.
There was only one nurse who was communicating to the doctor and ordering tests while the other ones were no where to be found. When the nurse left, my mom and I wanted to get my grandmother cleaned up so I went into the hallway and I couldn’t find anyone to help us. I walked up and down the hall and didn’t even hear anyone talking to patients or see them. I went to the end of the hall past room 30 and found a lady sitting in a office. When I asked if she could come help us changed my grandmother and her bedding she said she couldn’t because she only works on patients in room 30 and up but she was sitting in her office for the longest time.
At this point I got my mom and I got mad and just did everything ourselves. We cleaned her up, changed her into fresh clothes and sat her on the wheelchair while we changed her bed. We stripped the whole bed and needed new sheets and since I couldn’t find anyone to get us new bedding I just went into the room that had all the sheets and everything and got what I needed. When we were 90% done a cna finally walked in and said she can change my grandmother but we said we will just finish since we were almost done.
Once she was all cleaned, changed, had some water and was in a fresh bed she was doing a lot better. If only they went in when she first called she wouldn’t have gotten so bad.
We were there from around 11:30-2:30am. And this morning we went in and she was peed on again because they never moved a commode into her room like I asked. My mother and I go 2-3 times a day to make sure she is okay and we change her bed and her ourselves.
Horrible place to send your family. I am trying to get her sent somewhere else because it has only been 2 days and she already was almost sent back to the hospital.
My husband just came home from this facility and let me just say a few things. First meds are not properly given. A huge hippa violation. Food was horrible one night he was given 2 pieces of bread with one piece of cheese with a very small veggies on the side. Then after all that a case working follow him and my daughter to the hospital to have his pic line out and she did not go in to make sure they were able to remove the pic line which they could not so now he is home with a pic line. I will be reaching out to the heads tomorrow but I will never ever let him go to this facility again. If you want your loved one taken care of properly I would not recommend this facility.
Employee review: I have worked in this industry for quite some time and I must say, Lodi Creek Post-Acute is hands down my favorite building that I have ever worked at. From ALL staff (kitchen, CNA’s, activities, housekeeping, nursing, therapy and maintenance), I LOVE working with this group of people. The management team works so well together and has great communication. The Administrator, Christian is not only a great person to work for, he has the kindest heart and really cares about his employees and our patients. The company Links is an all around amazing company that I am blessed to work for. If you have any doubts while looking for a skilled nursing facility for your loved one, look no further. Lodi Creek is a good choice. Clean building that has been renovated, great food and caring staff. Highly recommend.
