No, I am not an ex employee. (That can be verified by checking past employee records.) Just someone who has visited this place several times, and do know people who work there, along with residents.
Things I posted are absolutely true. And yes, while some may be past incidents, some are also still current problems.
Glad that some actions have been taken to rectify some problems. But the simple fact is, *Buyer beware*. Make sure you check THOROUGHLY before choosing this facility to take care of your loved ones. I certainly wouldn’t.
The post by the ex employee is absolutely 100% correct. Not to mention she shows proof in the photo. As someone who has been at this facility many times myself, and know past and present employees, the way employees are treated is heinous. The way the facility is maintained is horrid. The roaches are VERY real and all over the facility, including residents rooms and beds. Also staff is underpaid for the amount of work they do. 1-2 employees for up to 24 residents in memory care? Or 2-3 for up to 60 residents in assisted living? Broken locks on exterior doors left unfixed for weeks, having employees have to sit and guard said door? After MC residents had been able to leave through said door?
Parking lot lights never fixed, leaving employee vehicles subject to break in, and giving homeless the ability to break in and sleep in residents rooms!
Yeah, as someone who has had to make a choice now TWICE to put a loved one in a facility – knowing what I know – I would never, EVER send a loved one here. In fact, I think the ONLY people that should be sent here are OSHA and a Health Inspector.
This review is NOT from a disgruntled ex employee. If Pacifica does not want negative reviews, then instead of trying to have them erased, try fixing the problems.

My parents lived at the Pacifica for the past two years. They were 95 and 96. My Dad passed in May and my Mom passed this November. Everyone who works there are very knowledgeable as well as very caring to my parents and all the other residents! I could not have asked for better care for both of them! The staff really do care for each resident and take very good care of each one daily!
