  1. My grandmother lived here for about 15 months. She’s was very well taken care of by the caretakers there. My dad chose this place over others because when he first met with them, instead of just talking about the facilities, they focused on talking about how they’d care for my grandmother. And I think they lived up to that. Catherine was our main point person, whom we were able to contact via text message anytime, any day. We’d frequently get pictures and videos of my grandma and all the activities they were having her do (arts and crafts, listening to music, physical therapy, movement, eating, etc.). It was always so nice to get those updates and see grandma’s smiling face. They were always so nice to me every time I visited as well. They’d set up a private room for us to hang out. I always brought my grandma food and they knew it, so they’d set me up with a table and plates/bowls/utensils/etc to make sure we had everything we needed. My grandma celebrated her 100th birthday there and even though this happened semi during covid times, they allowed us to have a small get together to celebrate her with her close family and friends. They helped us set up and even decorated the room for us and bought my grandma cute little things to wear like a tiara and glasses that said “100” on them. Though it was hard to take my grandma away from her own home, I’m very glad she ended up here at Providence where I know she was taken care of even better than we could. Thank you everyone at Providence for making my grandma’s last years of life comfortable. I really appreciate you.

  2. The staff at Providence Place are very caring and kind. They pay close attention to my mom’s needs and are very responsive when we have questions or want to discuss anything. They communicate consistently with us, sending photos and videos so that we can see how mom is doing when we’re not there. The program is well-designed for people with memory care needs. They are able to calm anxieties and keep mom engaged with both physical and mental activities. The staff who provide music and exercise are wonderful and it’s so lovely to see my mom smiling and laughing. Unlike some other places, it’s small enough that staff are able to give dedicated time to the residents. My family feels confident that mom is secure and very well cared for. And she enjoys the food so much. We feel fortunate that we found Providence Place — and as the pandemic has continued, we’ve been impressed with how they’ve followed safety protocols. Thank you so much to all the staff and caregivers (and the chef!) for your warm and kind and attentive care.

  3. My husband was diagnosed with PSP at a very young age and was originally at another facility before moving to Providence Place. He was a flight risk and would continuously injure himself. Catherine, the wellness manager, and her staff were very supportive and helpful during his transition to Providence Place. She made me feel reassured with my decision to move him. The amount of care and attention Catherine’s team display with the residents is impeccable. While they are much smaller compared to other facilities, they provide more of a home-style living environment with a high staff to resident ratio. They provide a large range of therapies and modes of entertainment. Their chef is superb and really goes above and beyond to accommodate each of the residents’ palate. Catherine is very hands-on with us and sends us daily texts and videos of my husband. She is quick to address emergencies and always contacts us first before making medical decisions on our behalf. Their care is all inclusive and my husband always had a staff accompany him during his medical appointments. Throughout the pandemic, Providence Place did a great job at keeping the residents safe and healthy by limiting in-person visits. Covid tests were administered regularly for both staff and residents. When vaccinations were made available, Catherine seamlessly organized it for my husband.

Since my husband’s first day at Providence, Catherine and her team did not make me worry about his wellbeing and I am beyond thankful for that. I would highly recommend Providence Place for your love ones.

  4. I was delivered order to this place for Catherine
And when i accept the order there was a tip and the order was very very heavy and I put an effort into it
When I drop the order and i check the app,Catherine take the tips after delivered the heavy order
    That’s cheating and rude

  5. I am a retired faculty member from UCSF. My partner of 47 years fell, her dementia increased significantly and after hospitalization was place d in a skilled nursing facility where I had to pay additionally for 24 hr sitters for 20 days. There was no progress, no physical therapy, she lost over 59 Pounds, she was dirty and I feared would die. I found Providence place and within three days, she was clean, responsive and communicating. She was somewhat combative but the stall has worked with her so she is now much more content. I was so afraid they might not keep her but oh no they don’t give up and the kindness to her and to me has turned this into a success story. If you want your loved one cared for it It would be hard for you to find a better place. I thank God, Catherine and the staff every day for their caring for my partner. Joanne Whitney, PhD.,

I am a retired faculty member from the University of California, San Francisco and have previously relayed how Providence Place saved my significant other when she was languishing in a poor memory care environment. Providence Place is remarkable in so many ways It tastefully furnished, always smells good, it has the kindest, most efficient caretakers, good food, lots of programs, consideration of families. But in this pandemic, it has risen above what is good care to being an exemplar of what a memory care unit should be. First, management stopped outside visiting even before the city required it. It contracted with an excellent urgent care company to have all clients, caregivers, and other personnel tested for Covid 19. Providence Place was concerned about clients but also staff and the families of the residents. Every day families receive either pictures or videos of their loved ones doing various activities such as eating, exercising, reading, watchingTV, etc. Families keep in touch with caregivers, management and their loved ones by telephone, texting and email. Doctors are able to do virtual visits with their patients. Not unimportantly, birthdays are celebrated in a big way with special foods, beautiful cakes and lovely decorations. I thank the Lord every day how lucky I am that my friend is under such dedicated and superb and loving care.
