The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Rude, attitude and No manners. Tried to cancel service. They give me the obnoxious sales person who can’t cancel my service.
As far as actual service they always picked up my trash on Wednesday like clockwork but as far as customer service wise and actually talking to employees they suck. I called a month in advance and told them that I needed stop / close my service and I was told ok that everything was good and my account would be closed and they would pick the dumpster up about 3 to 4 days. They did not actually come pick the dumpster up until a month and a half later and in the meantime kept billing me like I still was doing business with them. I called three more times and each time was told by a different person that the account was closed and I would not be charged yet they kept billing me and sending me email reminders and then started calling me about a late payment because my bill for the month and a half that my account was already closed they did not show it closed. Now they are calling about twice a week with automated calls saying my bill is past due and acquiring late charges. I live on Social Security and I always pay my bills but I don’t feel like I owe this bill. I have used Republic for about 6 years and no complaints until now. I will never use them again and will use the local mom and pop trash hauling service from now on. When I first started using Republic they were the only trash company in this area and in the past few years a couple of local small companies have started up because Republic keeps raising their prices in outrageous amounts each year. My bill was around 42 dollars for about 3 years then all of a sudden it jumped to 68 and then the last bill I received was 80 dollars and that was before I decided to close my account. Customer service can make or break a company and doing right by your customers and being known for your honesty plays a big part too. If I had been told in the beginning that they wouldn’t be able to pick my dumpster up for over a month and a half and that they were going to charge me for the month and a half that the empty trash buggy set there at least I would have been forewarned but that is NOT what anyone told me. So I will never use them again.
Failed to pick up our scheduled service in Tuesday. Called first thing Wednesday morning and they said they would be out within 24 hours. Did not come, so called again Friday morning. No show for the third time! Frustrating!
Giving republic service 1 star because to say they are shady with fees and almost always have horrible customer is to put it nicely… BUT I would give KIRSTEN 10 stars. She has fantastic customer service skills and was the ONLY person we talked to that actually offered a solution. She deserves a raise.
