Revel does not provide all of the services they promise with the lease. Housekeeping services are now poor and housekeeping staff can be unprofessional. Be prepared to lower your expectations for some services and please carefully consider your definition of “resort-like” or “premium” services before you move in because such poor services are neither “resort-like” nor “premium”. I have to question the owner’s use of the term “best-in-class.” What class, I wonder?

In response to Revel’s owner comments: I am awaiting a response from an email I sent to Harvey a week ago. Harvey is the new director. Housekeeping standards and services are most certainly not “best-in-class” for me.

Received a message from Revel Lodi’s attorney today demanding that I IDENTIFY my disabilities in detail and get a note from my physician identifying my disabilities in order to receive standard services that are actually provided for in the lease, such as “personal laundry services” and “additional housekeeping services.”
Note: If you request “personal laundry services,” expect to have your clothes returned to you shoved unfolded and extremely wrinkled back into the laundry hamper. Exactly how is that “refined,” “best-in-class,” resort-like” or even “premium”? If they fold your clothes, please let me know because that makes it a completely different issue…
UPDATE: 3-02-23:After serious negotiations and communications with the Wolff Resident Experience Company, we reached an agreement that is satisfactory for all parties. The Lodi Revel, CA. location is awesome, and our experience, although bumpy at times, finally concluded with positive results. We have loved this location and have worked with it for eighteen months to obtain one of their cottage locations. In our search and long-term experience, there are many pluses and minuses in every single senior community. Be open-minded and aware of every spoken and written word.
Seniors beware of “incentives“ or a huge “sales pitch”.
Every community will use every trick in the book. Read every single line of any contract. If possible, do not use, referral services. They get up to a month’s rent for referring you.
UPDATE! 12/24. Now here for about 15 months. Many changes. New Executive Director, many housekeeping & staff changes. Food quality dropped. Overall, services are good. Flexibility is near zero. Hoping 2025 will improve.
We are definitely NOT an assisted living facility!! This is a wonderful independent living community.
