  1. My mom was treated horribly by the staff at Shasta view! The administration covered up an incident of abuse and all of her medical records disappeared! Administration told me there was no evidence of neglect, abuse or any incidents in their files. All evidence of her being a resident at Shastaview was most likely destroyed!
Please! If you care at all for your loved ones,
DO NOT PLACE THEM AT SHASTAVIEW! Cere for them yourself or, hire a compassionate private caregiver! 🙏❤️😥😢

  2. This place is a joke DNT send your family or loved ones here all the other reviews are employees from Shasta View trying to make this place look like a good 5 star facility and it’s NOT here’s a list of things I’ve seen happen here

    1. The nurse has given wrong meds multiple times
2.They don’t answer call lights for 30min to a hr
3.They have left patients in dirty diapers for hrs
4.The CNAs are really rough and have dropped
    patients on the floor
5.The trays have milk spilled all over the food

That’s just a few things I’ve seen at this facility but your family or loved one is better off somewhere else

  3. I have medical reports from St Elizabeth Hospital, Sutter Hospital Davis, and Enloe Hospital in Chico. He passed away in hospice on Jan 26, 2024. Neptune Society did his cremation. When I got his ashes and death certificate, the primary cause of death was Parkinson Disease. He died of Stage 4 bedsore with Osteomylitis. Called Shasta and they told me the nurse who filled out the report made an error and was no longer working there and was told they would have it corrected through an amendment. After back and forth with them for months, nothing was done. NO HOSPITAL REPORT I HAVE ON HAND SAYS PARKINSONS DISEASE.. and they know it.

  4. Do not send or let your loved one(s) go here! They do not give them the care they deserve. Will not change diapers and frequently makes them sit in urine and feces for long periods of time. Nursing assistant will get mad/irritated with you if you need your diaper changed more than once. They will not keep up with changing wound dressing/bandages. Do take forever to get to the patients/residents rooms when they hit their call buttons. No phones in resident rooms so they can’t contact you if they need to and if they have a phone they will have to unplug their beds to charge phone/devices. The only help and prompt care from staff was from the maintenance man and the lady in Social Services. If you call the front desk number the staff said no one answers that phone and you will not get through to anyone. You also can just walk right in without anyone asking you questions or even acknowledging you are there to visit. Highly recommend visiting your loved one often to ensure they are getting the care they are supposed to be getting. Keep a very close eye on important and valuable personal belongings as well (wallets/purses for example).
