I had an appointment, which more than 2 weeks to get. Arrived 10 minutes early, nobody there, except a security guard, gruffly directed me, actually grunted, pointed to a machine, told me to check in. Waited 10-15 minutes, several others wandered in and were told, we accept NO WALK INS, you MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! When I vaguely heard my number called, I saw a shade go up over the window I was directed to. A person, sitting behind the double paned, tinted glass, basically demanded to know what I was there for, very nasty! When I told him, he requested “my papers”, which I had to slip through a tiny thought in the counter. He immediately asked for “original documents”; I gave him my most recent W-2 and a copy of my marriage license, which I was told to bring. He immediately rejected my marriage license, said I needed the original. When I told him I wasn’t applying for marital benefits, just MY BENEFITS, he became even nastier, telling me “he’s only trying to help”, very condescendingly. I questioned the sincerity of that and he told me he “thought I was about to say something bad and if I did he’d have the security guard remove me”!! It was beyond outrageous, it was aggressive and insulting!! He should be fired!!
Great people and service from the time I called and spoke with Ms Alvarez over phone, to walking and being greeted by the security guard to dealing with the agent at window and her supervisor who all were very helpful and professional. I was expecting to spend most of the day waiting to get serviced but to my surprise I was out in a hour with all my issues resolved.
Security guard threatening people and spewing pro Trump rhetoric. Completely inappropriate language and lies about the Biden adminstration. Guy belongs in proud boys not working as a non partisan government employee. SDE
Quick experience!! Security guard was quick and friendly just needed to check bag. Online appointment was at 9:30am with a wait time of 5 minutes on a Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Gentleman who helped me at the box was super nice as well!!
