Stilwell has served as a second home to retirees from Texas and other states throughout the country since 1964. Our mission is to provide an affordable, quality retirement residence that is supportive and secure, allowing residents to engage in an independent active lifestyle with people of similar professional backgrounds.
A local retirement facility, initially enjoyed mostly by teachers and other educators, but reportedly open to any profession now. It is a relatively small, personal faculity.
First, l went to volunteer with a Hospice client. Now, I go to donate extra items l receive as a result of my donating to various causes.
There are always clients sitting near the front desk, some ambulatory, others in assistive devices, others sitting outside enjoying themselves. ALL in a good mood and interacting with each other. The two staff l have met at the desk have always been greatful and welcoming.
It appears as if it is a large interactive, friendly family.
Love it. Have made so many new friends and don’t ever have to be alone.
