After months of research, speaking with multiple places, Th Bristal Assisted Living of Garden City far surpassed all others. Their professionalism, caring and compassion is incredible. The staff answers all your questions in a friendly manner. The positive atmosphere along with the beautiful facility is second to none. Showing a real concern for the residents, always receiving a smile and helping hand is really beautiful to see. There are so many events to give the residents a full life experience, have fun, and make new friends. The food is delicious, with a variety of healthy nutritious foods. The nurses are extremely detail-oriented ensuring your family member or person you know receives the proper medication or care they may require. I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. John Hunt, the Executive Director of The Bristal Assisted Living at Garden City. In a position that requires many responsibilities and long hours, Mr. Hunt has always responded to my e-mails and calls in a timely manner. He has taken time out of his busy schedule to meet with me during my visits. He is a true professional, kind, caring and understanding to the needs of others. He goes around engaging with the residents, their families and friends, treating everyone as a special person. The above review is the reason why I chose to bring my mother to The Bristal Assisted Living at Garden City. Don’t do it, don’t even consider it. My mother, in 6 months of Memory Care, contracted covid x 1, influenza (requiring hospital) x 1, culminating in a broken hip due to a fall. I am bitter, sure am!! At 10k per month anyone should expect much,much better; nevermind the pain and suffering to my mother at age 94. This place has some genuinely good people but the corporate system not so. There is something rotten there under the surface, do your due diligence.
I have a relative at this location. This place is like a prison. They do nothing for those in memory care. The people are overmedicated and sit around like zombies while getting ignored. The administration ignores the needs of its residents by gaslighting them. Any response by the Bristal employees themselves is a lie. Save yourselves the time.
