The Kensington Redondo Beach provides various senior living options, including Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Rehabilitation Services, with a focus on love and individualized care for each resident.
We promise to love and care for your family as we do our own. Our community goes beyond traditional assisted living to support those with high care needs and everything in between.
Very good, all personnels and nurses are excellent.
It’s a peaceful atmosphere!
My mom has been a Kensington resident for just over a year. She’s in her early 90’s and while once sharp as the sharpest tack, is suffering with dementia.
There are so many things to really love and appreciate about The Kensington. Robert May, the Executive Director, is uniquely qualified for his role and a very caring and engaging individual. Every single staff member appears to be truly caring. They know my mother’s peculiarities (hot coffee with ice cubes to cool it down, a blanket because she’s always cold, the list goes on) and deals with them, cheerfully.
In addition to staff, a beautiful facility and food that is SO good it’s how The Kensington stratifies memory care that I find critically important. Most facilities seem to have AL (Assisted Living) and Memory Care. A resident is in one or the other, but not all dementia patients need the same level of care. The K-Club, created to support those who have some memory issues, is a wonderful program and emblematic of their approach. Mom is a K-Club member and I know she has great care and appropriate activities. Susan Stetson, who runs K-Club, is devoted to her residents and the program. I know she has my mother’s best interests at heart and is sincerely appreciated.
In addition to the K-Club, there are I believe three levels of memory care at The Kensington, as well as Assisted Living.
Caring for a beloved aging parent who is dealing with issues is a gut-wrenching, emotional experience. Knowing my mom is so well cared for at The Kensington eases each and every day.
Great professional and friendly staff. Willing to help or get help for volunteers.
