I moved my Mother into Oxford Grand after she lost her husband in 2021. She was 94 at the time and I didn’t know how long she would live. Once at Oxford Grand my Mother thrived. She attended all the activities, which is so important. The exercise classes, special entertainment, movies, games on and on. They go above and beyond to keep our loved ones in community and entertain them. They take them out on the bus once a week, shopping, lunch, sightseeing. All of this was important to me and Mother. Then you add the level of care, love, hugs and attention you get at Oxford Grand. The medical attention should also be noted. They would notice if something wasn’t right and would call the doctor and/or prescribe whatever needed. It is beyond what I could have ever hoped for. The dining is a beautiful atmosphere, the waiters call the residents by name. The food is made especially for their diets or restrictions. My Mother recently passed away at almost 99. She was loved, cared for all the way until the end. And after that I got so many hugs and text and emails. Oxford Grand doesn’t only take care of your loved one, they take care of you. I will be forever grateful for the love and care I received as well. If there was more than 10 stars I would give it! Thank you everyone at Oxford Grand…I will miss you.
Oxford Grand has been such an amazing HOME for my mom. She moved in 18 months ago to the assisted living side and was immediately welcomed and truly felt at home. The accommodations, the events, the food and the entertainment were top notch. She has since moved into their Memory Care unit with a very easy transition. Everyone from the front office staff to the nurses and techs have truly been a blessing as we navigate this new journey. We’ve been very happy that we found such an amazing place so close to us for mom’s final days.
My mom has lived here for 3+ years. The staff that interacts with my mom on a daily basis from the nursing care, activities director, etc. are still the same smiling faces that we met in move-in day. I also know and recognize many of the residents; many of whom have been there longer than my mom. The staff is easy to get in touch with and very responsive to concerns/needs:-) I could go on and on but in short it feels like one big family at The Oxford Grand and has for many years!!! The minute we walked into Oxford Grand we knew it was the place for our Mom. Almost a year later, we still are so happy we picked OG. Everyone is so nice and we feel like family every time we come to see Mom.
Oxford Grand is one of best AL and Memory Care communities in the McKinney area. The Community Sales Director, Melina, is an excellent resource and provides a very informative tour highlighting their many differentiators.
