The staff at Valley Of The Moon are kind, compassionate and provide a great service for our community. I highly recommend this facility because of the excellent staff and quality of care.
My sister has been a resident at Valley of the Moon for many months. I am very impressed with the care she receives there. She has made great progress. Jade RN calls me every couple of weeks and gives me an update on medical issues, medication changes and answers any questions I have. The staff treat my sister like family, there are several staff that have gone above and beyond and I would like to thank them, Yvette, Rica, Yadi, Belinda and Danny. I sleep well at night knowing that you are taking such great care of my sister. What you do really matters!!!
The food is completely sub-standard, they are dreadfully short-staffed according to California Law and those here, per most recent experience within the hour are LIARS!!!
Exercise all other options you have….this place is dreadfully dishonorable!!!

The doctors here show up when they please with no method of patient contact made available…by intent!
Fine for the most basic care, but not knowledgable on many essential practices and they don’t seem to care much about the outcome. My mother was left WAY too long in painful need of a catheter, and after they finally gave her one, they didn’t seem to know the protocol for when/how to discontinue it, and were very lax in summoning a urologist. Food is unappetizing, which is odd considering that the hospital itself serves quite good food. Other local skilled nursing facilities are much better.
This place is half and half. My initial first impression was great. The staff were nice, attentive, and professional. However, once my elderly mother started receiving care, I saw a different picture, and different staff. Staff don’t seem to be well informed about important patient details. Some select staff don’t seem like they like their job, and are flip and abrupt.
Fortunately, my mother didn’t have to stay there very long. I will definitely never recommend this place.
