My Mom absolutely loves living here. Although quite resistant to the idea initially, she adjusted quickly and now could not be happier. The facility is beautiful, the staff could not be any nicer, it’s like living at the Four Seasons.
The facility is nice however misleading the residents there are mainly meant for memory care as they have neuro deficits but are incorrectly placed in assisted living. Also, the staff working there are very unprofessional I could hear a lot of gossiping drama and problems with Mimi in the hallways and seems like the workplace itself doesn’t have a strong foundation of work ethic, morals or peace of mind. I wouldn’t put my loved one here for these reasons. It’s not assisted living it’s a memory care facility. It seems like they need more employees too in med tech as the employee seemed to be occupied with pre popping meds
Varenita of Westlake is a home with a uniquely educated and authentic staff who exhibit integrity and kindness. Their Philosophy of wellness and the “benefits of memory care” don’t stop when loved ones are out of your site. You can see the proof that the staff are supported by the owners, which allows staff to do and be their best. We are so blessed to have my father who has progressive dementia living in memory care. My dad lived in his past home for 45 years, with his wife (Both educated professionals Ph.D/MA) and when he (widowed) walked into Varenita and was shown the single available room, he said, “when do I get a key?” He loves it there and feels among peers at Varenita. Thank you to the Founding Family who envisioned Varenita and brought this community to life!
