  1. My father lived the last two years of his life at Live Oak Estates. After suffering from a stroke eight years ago, he had been in and out of hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living homes, including some of the most expensive options in town. We had mostly negative experiences at these places and a couple of positive ones, but none more positive than at Live Oak. Though no place is perfect, the staff at Live Oak were consistently kind, caring and attentive to my father. We found that, while most care facilities had a few great staff members, one or two jaded individuals could make life miserable for my father, sending him into anger and depression, which is why the consistency of kindness at Live Oak was so significant and meaningful for him and for his family. Live Oak is a small, intimate setting with less staff turnover than other facilities we experienced. This allowed my father to get to know the staff, to appreciate and to trust them. We’re lucky that we found this place and that my father lived the last years of his life feeling cared for and appreciated.

  2. I can’t say enough good things about the care my mother received at Live Oak. She had previously been in a large senior apartment complex and was quite isolated. Live Oak was so warm, friendly, and had such a feeling of home about it. She received excellent care and the staff treated her (and us) like family. She was able to eat her preferred meals at her preferred times. She loved having small children and dogs visit – made it even more like home. The staff was so kind and compassionate with us when she passed away. I would recommend the facility for anyone looking for excellent care.

  3. My sister and I are forever grateful to all the kind & loving staff that cared for our mother Milly during the last years of her life (She was a resident for almost four years). Everyone at Live Oak Estates made my mother feel special in her new home from the first day she arrived. The caregivers were sensitive to all my mother’s needs whether it was tending to her challenging health issues or spoiling her with her favorite treats. Managers Lynda & Sid make the home welcoming during the holidays whether someone is celebrating a birthday or sharing a Thanksgiving meal. My sister & I knew right away Live Oak was the perfect place for our mother. The home is a safe environment where all kinds of social activity is encouraged. Located in a well-maintained neighborhood, Live Oak Estates is easily accessible by medical professionals. As family members, our visits were welcomed at any time of the day or night. We especially give a heart full of thanks to Marie, Brad & Karmen for their nurturing love & respect for our mother Milly.

  4. I can’t thank Live Oak Estates enough for the care they gave my mother-in-law. No one wants to put a loved one in a home when they get too old to take care of them self unless they have family who can stay with them. Live Oak Estates is amazing. They not only met all the physical care (i.e. bathing, home cooked meals, administration of medicine, etc.) but their friendly staff treated her like she was truly loved and part of their family. They painted her nails, brushed and styled her hair, played card games with her… They gave her, her own bedroom, in a house, in a nice neighborhood. It felt like a home. When she recently passed, they helped our family pack her belongings, and were sincerely sad and grieved the loss with us. Overall a wonderful experience. I would recommend them to everyone who loves their parent but hates the idea of leaving them alone.
