Want to take the opportunity to commend the Kensington Sierra Madre staff on two fronts — first their continued excellent and enlightened care of our parents generally (in two different areas of the care community). Second, their astonishing efforts during the recent Eaton fire in evacuating, then re-patriating the entire community within a highly stressful 2-3 day period. The philosophies and practices of the former thoroughly informed the success of the latter. We are greatly appreciative.
I came to work for Kensington through an agency on January 12, 2025 due to short of staff. I must say I have worked at over 200 facilities and have NEVER seen the affection and respect for the residents that was displayed at Kensington. These characteristics can not be taught through orientations the staff must bring these qualities with them -which let me know the staff is handpicked. I hate to admit I was shocked since healthcare should be gratitude when serving- unfortunately that’s not always the case. I personally witnessed each staff member -which was many -engage with the residents as if the resident was their own family member. From the beginning to end. LVN Erica rushed in the door like a super hero ready to attend to her patients. I saw her lock the med cart with one foot and run downstairs to an emergency call with the other like a speed of lightning. The caregivers and kitchen staff were all in unison of humbling service. They were all amazing, Kimberly, Maria, John, Anna. I was even able to see the night shift come in as I clocked out all show the exact same care to the residents. It was awesome to see this quality of care it made me evaluate myself and make sure I too am always in touch with my role as a caregiver. Thank you Kensington for hands down displaying top tier- true and sincere care to the community.
The place was really nice clean and the rooms were spacious the staff was very professional, courteous and attentive with all the patients including with the vistors.
It’s heart warming and reassuring to see how well our family member is doing at The Kensington. Martha Reyes understands the residents’ needs and creates a warm, positive and engaging place. We look forward to visits.
