Do not take your loved ones here. The other negative reviews are accurate, except I think the place is even worse. No kidding, do not take your loved ones here. Take them ANYWHERE else. You might be thinking, “How bad can it really be?” It’s really bad.
My 99 year old mother has been a resident of Solaris in Pensacola for over four years. I have been pleased with the care that mom has received here. The entire staff, from the long term social worker (Melissa), to her CNA’s (Tracy and Tiffany) and everyone in between seems to genuinely care about her wellbeing. Norvene, the Activity director, is wonderful! She has a special way with the residents! It’s obvious that they love her, and she clearly loves them too! Mom considers Norvene to be her “best friend”!
Each resident is assigned a “guardian angel” which is a staff member that keeps a close eye on them, and routinely updates the resident’s family about his/her status, which is helpful.
Finally, we couldn’t ask for a better unit manager than Tonya. Her door is always open, and she goes above and beyond to make sure that my mother is well cared for!
I recommend Solaris to anyone who needs to place their loved one into a skilled nursing facility!
My mom is a resident at Solaris and receives excellent care! She has been living here for over 2 years and they have been a true blessing for us! All of the employees from Nurses to housekeeping have been helpful and caring. Mom’s main CNA, Pam, treats her like family and always has her looking great! Norveen and her Activities team provide fun and engaging activities that residents enjoy. From socials, bingo, arts and crafts to movies, Activities make sure residents have lots of things to do and yummy treats to eat. My grown son said Nanny has more of a social life than him! Mom moving to Solaris is one of the best decisions I have made. No more worries as they provide her with exceptional care that she needs and deserves!
