Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 240-bed nursing and rehab facility located in Hollywood, Florida. It offers a full continuum of care from short-term rehabilitation to long-term skilled nursing care and a variety of specialty programs.
My stay at this rehab center was the absolute worst nightmare of my life. The food is absolutely the worst of which I would not even feed my dog. You are very lucky if the food is not absolutely cold when you receive it. The quarter cup of scrambled eggs for breakfast is absolutely amazing to me. You are very lucky if your single piece of white bread is even toasted at breakfast. One day theytotally ran out of bread another day they totally ran out of cups
there was absolutely no management at this facility.
The staff has several favorite words, it’s not my responsibility i don’t know anything about that. Or I will be right back, but normally takes at least 2 hours.
Don’t even think about getting a snack they never seem to have any. Consider yourself lucky if you get a saltine cracker
The most alarming situation occurred in the middle of the night when a male patient (with definite mental problems) walked into our room ( two females) in the middle of the night. Very frightening to say the least. The next day not a single person apologized for this appalling incident. Nor did management contact us to explain .
Do not give your laundry to the them to be washed, you wil never see it again .it disappears into the air

The nastiest dirtiest place we lost family here . The nurses are negligent and don’t care. They seem to not be knowledgeable enough care for their patients. It smells like piss and like poop. They don’t give any care after your loved one has passed. They only care about money. They rushed us to remove our dead loved one. They didn’t take care of anything. They feed them trash. Horrible people and place.DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE AT THIS FACILITY. N.Knowles
Dirtiest and nastiest place I have ever seen. My grandma went in to this facility healthy and competent. Less than a week later I walked into her room to her convulsing and the nurses telling me to just stop crying. She caught an infection that was untreatable and she was transferred to hospice. This place should be shut down. They have no care for the patients or the families grieving around them. Wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. My grandma has since passed from the infected bed sore she got here.
The therapy department is a great thing that happened to me I fell broke both shoulders and with their assistance I had a group of three that put me back together and I am so grateful to them. I thank them and give them lots of credit. It’s a great therapy department you’ll get the help that you need .
While in the nursing home, they have activities and things for you to do so it does keep you busy. I enjoy activities. Also .
